You need to read allot or words and listen to people like PCper cause they are on point. Otherwise you opinion means nothing IMHO.
-
No no I believe PCper has a well balanced un biased perceptive on things. I think we should give them a shot and listen to what they have to say.
-
Josh Walrath's perspective on this issue is very good IMHO.
-
The Msi is a great card and it was allot cheaper to boot so you still won ;-)
-
Sapphire is perhaps the best brand for AMD cards ... the 290X Vapor X was amazing.
-
Ya the seem to have sold out. The Tri X, Lightning, Windforce, Msi are all great cards though but I think the Vapor X was the best.
-
Allot of People say F3 was a better game but New Vegas was just bigger and better all around IMHO. The campaign was to short in F3.
-
The aftermarket 290s are not loud at all. The Vapor X is more quite than the 780ti and most any other high end card.
-
Loud R9 290x cards ? Perhaps don't get a crappy reference card. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Sapphire/R9_290_Vapor-X/24.html

I would say that the lies and coil whine is plenty enuff to warrant a return. The Vram Gate is just the deal sealer.

Don't worry so much about the minimum recommended PSU wattage as they always overestimate to compensate for low quality PSUs that do not supply what the manufacture claims. As a rule it is always a good idea to go with a high quality PSU from a trusted brand like Antec, Corsair, XfX/Seasonic etc.
-
Very logical choice mate. The 980 is the best and the 290x is still a beast and priced well in your area. Choice is yours.
-
I would try the OC and see how far you can push it if I were you. If not either way you will still great great frame rates.
-
You will need the second GPU to drive that monitor to the fullest in that game.
-
Ya it does but you wont need to and should not cause of your low wattage PSU.
-
Worst cause if you PSU can't drive the GPU you will suffer a blue screen or shut when gaming. Not a big deal.
-
I have used Molex to 6pin adapters in the past and they worked perfectly.
-
The 280 will come with a Molex to 6 pin adapter.
-
They will both runs on that PSU.
-
Higher in game settings or DSR was used.
-
It will run it but it's not recommended.

Since when you don't live in the States. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=-1&IsNodeId=1&Description=R9%20290&bop=And&Order=PRICE&PageSize=90

Software not supported by Mac OSX LOL this it not news.

First what is your PSU brand ? Second the 960 would perform quite a bit better but it's really not the card to get right now. Enter R9 280 for less money more Vram and similar performance.
