  1. this looks interesting says that i'm using 2.7gb of RAM out of 8gb but somehow 86% of my RAM is being used. and i'm the only user...
  2. not that i can think of. I do not have any anti-virus software just because I had bad experiences with the free ones that i tried and I never felt like i needed one. can you recommend a good program so that i can run a disk scan
  3. The weird thing is that when i do that and list it in a way to see what programs are using most memory this is what it looks like https://puu.sh/pfNtK/192970ce99.png that doesnt look like it adds up to 8gb at all
  4. Hey all, so yesterday I downloaded Overwatch and noticed that my RAM usage has been through the roof. now I don't the problem persists even when overwatch is not running, however, I haven't experienced this issue before. I have 8Gb of RAM in my PC and usually has chrome, spotify, and either overwatch or league of legends running, and a few other light programs running in the background. Before I used to be able to have 10+ tabs open on chrome while in a game of league without a problem, but since i downloaded overwatch, my RAM usage hasn't dropped below 85% and i have no idea why. As of right now i have 14 tabs on chrome open with the league of leegnds client open (not in a game) and my RAM usage is 88%, CPU usage at ~30% and disk usage at ~1%. I've never had this problem before. what should I do? specs: intel i5 4690k 8gb RAM 128gb ssd 1tb hdd gtx 960
  5. I'd like a new SSD to finally have a little more than 5GB of free space on my 120 gig SSD
  6. EDIT: after checking all the cables it worked again so ignore this post, sorry! So i've had this PC for ~6 months now and it suddenly switched off and wouldn't turn back on. when i press the power button the PSU fan spins so the PSU isn't dead, but the power button had a blue led that lights up when the pc is on and it doesn't light up now for some reason. a month ago my pc would randomly restart when i play games on it (only when i game on it never else) and it went away when i changed my gpu drivers, but for the last week my screen would randomly go black (also only when i game on it) for a few seconds then back to normal. I changed the drivers once after that but the problem didn't go away. now 15 minutes ago while i was ingame it switched off out of nowhere and doesn't turn back on. never faced this problem before so i have no clue where to start.
  7. I have a bootable usb with windows 7 on it, can i simply copy the files from this usb to another usb and it will work like a bootable usb? if i can't, is there any way to extract the iso from the bootable usb to then create another bootable usb with it?
  8. ok so i hadn't touched the graphics settings in the game since i bought it. so i turned down the graphics to the lowest on everything, turned off anything that could affect performance and it actually worked. after turning down everything to the lowest i got ~55 fps in a normal game. I probably look really stupid now for not trying to turn down the graphics but i honestly thought my gpu could handle such a (silly?) game. thanks guys
  9. I just downloaded rocket league on my laptop and for some reason i'm getting 15-20 fps while playing the game. I got into a game of league of legends and i'm getting ~250 fps so I don't think its a problem with my laptop (maybe the settings of the game?) any ideas? specs: i7-4720 hq gtx 960m 16gb ram 512gb ssd
  10. temperatures are fine, ran scan for storage errors and found none. could you recommend a stress test to run?
  11. i keep getting an error when i try to update my bios, i downloaded the latest version and when i run it, it gives me an error saying its not compatible with the version of windows im using. there is no option to download x86 or x64 on the download page edit: downloaded msi live updater hopefully that will help with installing latest drivers
  12. i checked and found one that was "critical" said: "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." that was obviously when it shutdown mid-game. and a few other errors that said that my pc couldnt be registered on the interface with my ip address edit: i did a clean install of windows and downloaded the latest driver for my gpu. are there any other drivers that should be updated?
  13. I just did a clean install of windows and the problem happened again
  14. nothing is overclocked and i didn't try any stress tests.
