  1. The star wars rap #neverforget Congratulations to the entire company, you guys are amazing, both as tech nerds and as persons, the humour that your videos have is the thing that sets you apart from all other tech channels and I wouldn't have it otherwise, amazing job, on everything! Best Linus quote: "I stood up, walked over to the bed and whipped it out for her!.. the lumio, that is."
  2. I cleaned the heatsink but tomorrow i'm going to get some better thermal paste, maybe that'll help. There's something odd about it tho. When I use OCCT, when it hits 60/62ºc, it throttles down, but the fan doesn't start spinning that fast, as when i'm playing a game, and the cpu usage is near 100%, the fan sounds like a plane. And while playing a game I made HWmonitor monitor it, and the TMPIN0 got to 67ºc, and the cpu to 49, and it was around the 80-95%, but the fps kinda remained the same, only the consistency dropped (if I looked to the left quickly, they'd drop around 10 and get back up again, etc), this is really confusing and I have no ideia of whats going on, maybe the cpu is reaching its final day, I dont agree with the theory that cpu's/gpus age, but this one certainly looks like it.
  3. So i've been having these issues recently and when I was messing around with OCCT, in the psu test, I noticed that, all was going fine, until TMPIN0 hits the 60ºc, then from the 72-73 fps I was having on the test, it drops down to 40-35, imediatly after that hits 60c, and it continues dropping until it reaches 65c and it stays there, and the fps almost "lock" at around 33-37. Any ideias on how to lower the temperature of it? I've heard its the socket temperature, and some other people say its just readings, its not the real temperature, what I know is, that its affecting my performance, so, it must be real, right? I got this issue on a pc that I have just for league of legends, the specs are; AMD x2 245 2.9ghz Gigabyte Radeon 6670 2gb ddr3 4gb ddr3 1066mhz 500gb seagate HDD 1360x768 Samsung monitor Eurotech 430watts PSU If anyone could help me i'd be greatly appreciated.
  4. I'll do that now, thank you. I never got a BSOD so, hopefull its not the ram, but I kinda wish it is, atleast I would've found my problem
  5. In most games, ram only gets to 45/55% usage so I doubt ram is the problem. It can on the heavier games peak to 60%
  6. Yes, my computer was cleaned entirely, I did recently cleaned it too, with a anti-static vacum. Thank you, I will do a rem test now, is there any software that I can test if my ram is working normally? According to cpu z, all the clocks and voltages are fine.
  7. The stability got a bit better, I have 60/50's on path of exile now, and DmC is at 70 doing nothing and 60's fighting, 50's in really intense scenes. But, how can a friend of mine play swtor with high graphics at 30 to 40fps on 1440x900 with a a4 apu, and I can't with a dedicated graphics card and a cpu equivalent to his? I still have 15 fps on mine with no shadows at 1360x768. I did some tests on some more games that i've been playing: Singularity's fps increased from 65 dipping to 45 to 75/80 dipping to 55/58 Super Street Fighter 4, completely maxed out, I have 98 fps on the benchmark (I had 100+) sometimes, but it runs pretty much the same Skyrim I used to have 55/60 fps all on highs now I have 40/45, before I installed the chipset driver I had 30/35 It has improved, but there's still something here thats making me have less performance than what I had Mainly in mmo's or open world games (games that render large distance landscapes) (cpu'z already updated and now all the readings are normal)
  8. I'm pretty sure I already did that too, but i'm going to reinstall them and see what happens, thank you.
  9. Hello, so this is my first time posting to a forum but I'm in serious need of some help, if I'm doing anything wrong by posting this here (maybe on the wrong page or something, please alert me, I never really paid much attention to forums). So this is what happened, My pc quite some time ago just loss alot of performance, mainly in gaming, its not a gaming rig, its not anything massive, its just a pc I bought some years ago for work and then I added a graphics card, but it played what I wanted at reasonable fps. System: AMD x2 245 2.9ghz (not overclocked) Gigabyte Ati Radeon 6670 2gb ddr3 (not overclocked, brand new) 4gb 1066 ram 500gb Seagate hdd Eurotech 420w PSU (I had an old one that died but didn't take any components with it, I already had problems back when I purchased my old one that eventually died, I just thought of posting it to a forum now after 2 years of living with it and trying to find the solution by myself) (and i'm going to buy the cx430, this one was just because I needed something till I had the money, and for a system with this low of a power consuption, I thought it would be okay) Windows 8.1 I played DmC at 70+ fps all high at 1360x768 Dead Space 1/2 maxed out 70+ fps at 1360x768 WoW at 80 fps, tweaked high settings at 1360x768 Path of Exile, maxed out 60+ fps constant at 1360x768 And other games like league of legends, smite and counter strike, which these 3 are the games I play the most, being counter strike my nº1 and all of these I used to play with great fps (league 100+, smite 60+ and cs 130+) I now have 35,40 on smite, 100 on cs, and the same on league on low, but if I increase the graphics to as they were (highs) it comes down to 30, 40. And, on most if not, all games, increase or decreasing the resolution doesn't impact performance, it just adds or takes 1fps, from 1024x7680 to 1360x768, what does that mean? But suddently, I dont know what happened, I just lost performance in ALL games, every single game. Now, I can't play path of exile at 60fps without it freezing every 5 seconds after a mob appears, when more than 5 appear and I use skills it just goes down to 20, when I drop my settings, same thing happens, it doesn't matter what I do, same with DmC, 35 fps now, Dead space, same thing, WoW, mate, WoW, I had to remove the skybox so I could play the game now. I did everything, I formated, I defragged, I installed new drivers, old drivers, removed them with driver sweeper, ran prime95 (no errors), graphics card is running correctly in x16 according to gpuz Nothing worked, I dont know what to do, in 2 weeks or so, i'm going to purchase a new cpu, mobo and ram, and i'm going to use this graphics card since its pretty much 1 month old (I bought it on a budget, I know its a low end card but its good enough for me). If anyone could help me i'd really appreciate it, I really do not know what to do, is it something in windows? catalyst? my directx? I dont know, any help would be appreciated! I might have skipped on some info, if I did, please ask me and i'll show everything needed. Here are some prints of hwmonitor, cpuz and gpuz. (I downloaded cpu z, and when I opened it, it gave me and error and then there was missing information on the program, can someone tell me what it means?)
