  1. you can download the nvidia driver you want to use and simply do a clean install. It will automatically delete the old driver
  2. thought of buying a bigger case where the gpu doesn't sit next to the hard drive? even though i am not really sure if gpu heat can kill a ssd.
  3. i am a bit familiar with coding and there are multiple ways to get the code to do what you want it to do and some ways are more efficient than other so my guess would be that if you code inefficiently (bad memory usage for example) on a large scale like a video game the game will run bad.
  4. xeons really aren't good for gaming only since they cost a lot for what they provide
  5. i think you can create a shortcut to the shutdown program and specify a timer after which it occurs not sure if it works in windows (it does in linux) since i never used it.
  6. i would definitely go with option 1, because the intel beats the amd one in any game anytime but i would replace the gtx 770 with a gtx 970 because it's quite a bit better than the 770 any only like 100$ cheaper
  7. this is one good piece of information there. Thanks a lot but does it work with for example nvidia drivers?
  8. pretty sure there are some deals at the end of november but there are a lot other of sale like weekend sales and midweek madnesses. i would suggest you put the game you want to buy at a sale on a wishlist so you get notified when it's on a sale.
  9. that's what i did with my ssd only that i used gparded in inux instead of disk manager since i don't really trust windows though you may wanna first check if everything went well before deleting the old partition.
  10. might wanna check out the 980 instead of 780ti and getting less ssd but with higher capacities should be cheaper
  11. the LGA 2011-3 is a socket on motherboards for the new x99 intel extreme cpus which are quite expensive. for pure gaming i wouldn't go with that. Also if you only use your pc for gaming and other everyday suff (watching videos, browsing the web,....) a titan would be a bad choice. I think even the 900 series beat that card in games
  12. he wore the wan show t-shirt where he replaced linus by brandon i think. jokes aside he isn't really fired just away in europe
  13. he gets fired every second wan show
  14. this card has awesome power efficiency while still being extremely powerful. epic card for anybody
  15. you could get a gtx 970 and a 650 watt psu and spend the rest on a case.
  16. Thanks I will give it a try and see how it runs. how mutch % would it have to be on 1680:1050 since that is the resolution i am running at the moment.
  17. yes i will be upgrading as soon as i have the money for it.
  18. yes I watched that already and I am not expecting to max them out. I wanna know what would look better 1080p at higher settings or 1440p at lower settings
  19. I want to buy a new monitor for mostly gaming and I pretty much fell in love with the asus rog swift but I am not sure whether to go with 1440p or whether i should stick with 1080p for now. My specs: CPU: i7-4770k (atm at stock am going to try to get to around 4.5 GHz) GPU: single gtx 770 Zotac amp! edition RAM: 16 GB corsair vengeance My main games would be League of Legends and DotA 2 but I also play a lot of other different kinds of games (my steam library for those interested, MMORPG, and some Battlefield 4) With that in mind would you get a 1440p monitor and play at lower settings (which i don't mind since i think that in most games there is barely any differences between high and medium or even low) or would it be better to get a 1080p monitor (like BenQ xl2420g/xl2411g once it comes out) and play at ultra settings with highest MSAA and all that stuff.
  20. did you try out dota 2? it's free jokes aside, gmod can be very entertaining if you have some friends to play with other than that i liked dishonored and robocraft is pretty funny aswell
  21. mine would be over one 1TB but since i only got a single 1TB drive i have to keep deleting games once i finish playing them.
  22. that usually just overwrites windows which is not what the op wants
  23. what's wrong with the normal ubuntu installer? just asking because i don't use ubuntu
  24. honestly i never had any problems installing linux alongside w8 as well as w7
