Arkhen got a reaction from ImpliedSilence in Gamers Nexus alleges LMG has insufficient ethics and integrity
I've watched Linus, on/off, ever since the days of NCIX. I certainly haven't always agreed with the content he, and his team, has produced, but to see the level of neglect and doubling/tripling down, documented by GN, is incredibly sad and disappointing.

Arkhen got a reaction from AnalogCanavity in Experiences with non-techies
Was helping my two "friends" assembling a starter-build (not buy the parts obviously) and they had purchased a Rampage IV Extreme, GTX 780 and a 3960X for gaming league of legends and watch movies.... Literally nothing else...
Okay, when I had made my peace with the weird parts for their needs one of them starting putting it together. This guy is one of those "I know it all"-IT kinda guys who will not listen to reason... He tried to explain to me that their new GTX 780 would work perfectly in the PCIe slot alone for benching, without any PCI 6/8 pin power connectors, explaining to me that you could easily get a high power delivery through the PCI lanes..... He later realized he was terribly wrong when they ended up getting GPU BSODs left and right until they did as I told them.
That was one cringe moment for sure...

Pushed the card a little further, it appears Google Chrome's hardware acceleration was holding my overclocks back somehow.... Sigh...

Can't wait to receive the 980 Ti tomorrow! Waterblock and backplate on the way from the EKWB headquaters.
Thank you for the benchmarks!

Around 70w is accessible from the PCIe slots so I guess the card was just operating under its bare minimums ^^

Arkhen got a reaction from HawkJ in Huge stain under the EK waterblock
Sure it happens, but it doesn't really affect anything important so I'm not too bothered about it. Again, I'm not sure if my example is the same as yours, with a watery path escaping the middle section.

Arkhen reacted to DieHörnær in 980 Ti's
Not sure if this is an issue or not? EK Cooling config reckons its a visual match with the Titan block but this thread talks about the thermal pads and lack of vram on the Ti compared to the Titan:

In essence, shouldn't be an issue but would like to see someone fit it first.
