  1. Thanks. Excuse how new i am to this. would this mean id use the SPDIF out of my sound card and plug it into the optical input of my receiver (the one labelled TV) using a cable like this? http://sgcdn.startech.com/005329/media/products/gallery_large/THINTOSMINX.Main.jpg
  2. Hi Guys, Sorry about the noob question. I was wondering what would be the best way to link my sound card to my receiver and what type of cables i should use, or if the bluetooth connectivity of the receiver would mean it would be best to get a bluetooth transmitter for my pc? if so which would you recommend? my sound card: http://www.guru3d.com/miraserver/images/2012/xonar-phoebus/IO.jpg my receiver: http://www.richersounds.com/product/av-receivers/yamaha/rxv379/yama-rxv379-blk Thanks to any help in advance.
  3. The Acer aspire R7 has been getting its fair share of slack on the internet mainly due to its backwards design keyboard track pad layout. But ive been struggling to find a detailed review of the more impressively spec'd Aspire R7-571G-73538G25ass which has a Intel Core i7 3rd Gen. 3537U (2 GHz) CPU in it with a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M. This model is obviously geared towards a consumer that will be using the laptop for more then just a casual media consumption device, But i really have no idea what sort of performance to expect out of this machine? The idea of having a external gaming mouse running out of this thing while tilting slightly floating over the keyboard in the coined "starship enterprise" mode seems like it might make for a very interesting gaming experience. Ive found this laptop for around £740 second hand online which makes it the cheapest laptop i can find that has a gt 750 or equivalent of graphics card in it although im not very well read on the CPU in mention. Am i being deceived here by the gimmick of the tiltily screen function? and is the low clocked CPU going to bottle neck my GPU to the point where i cant enjoy modern game titles or medium to high settings? Thanks for any help you can offer. For anyone not in the know here's what the R7 looks like:
