Nielips got a reaction from MoonSpot in E-cigs are to require FDA review
As someone that works in a regulatory department for a company that supplies into the market, I will say any responsible company should be confirming the materials they use have suitable clearance under 21 CFR. Although the 21CFR doesn't a have a specific section relating to ecig, we generally go by materials that are GRAS, or approved fro use in medical devices.

Nielips got a reaction from Dabombinable in Optical Data Storage Squeezes 360TB on to a Quartz Disc—Forever
Glass isn't a stable material, so it would be a very bad idea to make long term storage from it. Think pane glass windows in churches, they are thicker at the bottom.

I don't really think the market needs another bog standard case. Companies need to start being a bit more inventive.

Nielips got a reaction from Jacke1012 in Will it bottleneck
It should be fine. If you wanted to go any higher you would realistically want to upgrade both CPU and GPU. So unless you want to upgrade both go for it.

Nielips got a reaction from Jacke1012 in Will it bottleneck
It will depend highly on the game, in some instances it will be GPU in some CPU, or neither. But they are a good pair performance wise.

If you have an infint emission free energy source to runn this machie it's great.
Sadly we haven't.
But hey, there is a cutting edge technology that can do this with solar energy. They are called plants and trees

Nielips got a reaction from Beskamir in Google to make driverless cars act more like humans after complaints they are too polite
And there was me thinking the idea of driverless cars was to be less like humans. The sooner people stop driving the better, as most people are so fucking bad.

Things like this could be used to transport cargo that isn't time dependent eventually. The amount of fuel consumption that could be reduced for lorries, must be huge.

Good job I mentioned that isn't it, I did wonder why all these people were telling you to go for the 390, clearly they know not what they are on about.

You should really split this off into, countries continents ect, as it's really difficult to find anything other than US deals.

Nielips got a reaction from xAcid9 in AMD Blocks/Disables Overclocking the Memory for the Radeon R9 Fury X
Not an illogical thing to do, considering no one has ever even used this technology before, imagine the amount of dead cards from people not understanding the limits of the memory.

Nielips got a reaction from bomerr in [Confirmed] Final Fantasy VII Remake coming to PS4!
I seriously don't understand all the rage about FFVII, it's a good game don't get me wrong but I think there are much better games in the series in terms of; themes, story, music, combat and graphics (for the era of release). I'd rather just see new IP's rather than any remakes tbh.

That's not what I said, I said that vram size is tied to bit rate 512 bit bus can connect to 1,2,4,8,16 gig cards and so on
Just that 3 gigs doesn't work in A 512 bit bus and so on

Nielips got a reaction from Slow N Stupid in 980 Price to drop to $499, EU Excluded
We get shafted in the EU on any tech, if I ever go to the US with work, I wont be bringing clothes back. I will just be buying PC upgrades .

That's also assuming the nano material follows that of the bulk material, which based on knowledge of other nano materials is unlikely.

Nielips got a reaction from tamag901 in R9 285 2GB Strix vs GTX 960 4GB Strix
Well my hd7850, overclockedbto around the same performance as GTX 660 hasn't, and his 960 won't in the games he has said he will be playing. You also aren't factoring in the better compression used in the 960. Also go look at some benchmarks, the 4gb in most situations makes practically no difference.

Nielips got a reaction from tamag901 in R9 285 2GB Strix vs GTX 960 4GB Strix
Whichever is cheaper usually, if you don't care about power/temps. But look at benchmarks for games you want to play as well. Also 4GB version is pointless.
