  1. Hey everyone, it's been awhile since I did anything with computers and am kind of out of the loop. Wondering if someone can answer a quick question. I have an AMD RX6750xt reference card in an NCASE M1. I need a 180 degree power adapter so I can get my power cables to fit properly. I found some on Amazon that have the correct layout for the plugs, but they are only available in 8 pin configurations. But the GPU has a 6 and 8 pin on the card. Can I use the 8 pin adapter with the 6 pin on the card? I've attached a picture of the adapter in question as well. Thanks for any help.
  2. Budget (including currency): <$800 US Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Kingdom Hearts, CIV5 Hello everyone, I haven't built a computer since my i5-3570k and need a new MITX build. My girlfriend wants to play kingdom hearts but the version on her switch kinda sucks so I'd like to set up a computer that she can use. It has to be MITX so it can fit in the TV stand (Q158 fits perfectly). I have a GTX 1070 already which should be good enough. I live close enough to the US border so I can do cross border shopping. I used the USD since the United States has better prices and more options. The case fans, case, and PSU I can get here for the prices included, and they are in USD to factor in conversion. I got the motherboard already since it was on clearance at a local store for $170 cad. Microcentre has the CPU for $210, but I'd rather just have it shipped for convenience and I already have a mobo so no combo discount. I think I have eveything planned out pretty well but would like a second opinion. Also plan on using the stock cooler. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8dTmgb TIA, Michael
  3. Looks useful to bring along when travelling.
  4. My LG G4 has a cracked screen and a replacement is $100+ for a generic one from China. Repair shops quoted $140, and LG wants $200. Would it be possible to switch the screen out from another LG G4 that has a functioning screen but has a bad esn, is bootlooped, etc.
  5. Recently I haven't been able to stream or watch any videos in anything above 360p without constant buffering. I can't watch anything from youtube or twitch with out it playing for a few seconds and beginning to buffer for several seconds before playing again and then buffering again. The only thing that works is netflix. This issue persists on all of our devices (desktops, laptops, and phones). There are usually 8 devices connected at most with only 4 being active. Our router (netgear r7000) should be more than capable with the load. I've tried factory resetting the router and had no luck. We have 150/20 and this is what we get.
  6. We are planning to cut cable and I'd like to get a better HTPC rather than the old laptop I use with a first gen I3. The laptop sucks and struggles playing youtube/netflix/popcorn time in 1080p. Since we are getting rid of cable it's going to be used significantly more and I'd like it to be a better experience. I have a core2quad with ram and motherboard sitting in a box not doing anything that I could use but its a regular sized atx board and will be difficult to hide. I also came up with a build that hopefully would be good enough for what I need. 7. No stereo is only 2.0. When I set it as stereo the sub doesn't output anything and it shuts down shortly after.
  8. Is their any way to downmix the audio? I have no option for 2.1. Only stereo, 5.1, 7.1, and quadrophonic. I currently just use 5.1 with the centre and rear disabled.
  9. Enemy Unknown, It also happens in San Andreas and Skyrim with sounds of skyrim mod.
  10. I just got XCOM and noticed it doesn't support 2.1 audio properly. As a result their is no dialogue in the game, but my sub makes bass. When I set my audio to 2.0, I get no bass, but I get dialogue. I'm using the on board audio from my Gigabyte Gaz77-xd3h and running an aux cable to the amp, and then an aux to rca cable to the subwoofer. I've tried playing around with the windows and the ViaHD audio settings with no luck. I think connecting the amp directly to the subwoofer will work, but it will look messy. Is their an alternative to this?
  11. I just got my zenfone 2 a few days ago, and coming from an s4 its been a nice upgrade. I got the 16gb model with 2gb of ram. Heres a short list of the things ive noticed. The camera from the zenfone is comparable to the s4 in daylight and better at night. Battery life is significantly better, I can get 18+ hours of device on time (WiFi and LTE) with 5 hours of screen on time. Id be lucky to get 3 hours of sot in a similar situation with the s4. I also got a replacement battery a few months ago for the s4. The amoled is slightly better than the zenfone. I've turned vivid mode on in the splendid menu but colours are still slightly washed out compared to the s4. And lastly the boot loader is locked, so no custom Roms yet. It does support root and xposed which is better than nothing though.
