FC3 wasn't 'badly optimized' per se, it's just very resource heavy, it requires a lot of power and is very CPU intensive due to it being a very large open world sandbox. That being said, it could have been better optimized. I really enjoyed FC3 the first time I played it on PC. Ran WAY smoother and looked much better than console versions even on low settings!!

Hmm, they're definitely very similar, you may get a cooler card and a little extra power, but Mantle will definitely help out once it's on more games.

It gives you a general idea of what your wattage will be. 800W seems to be the clear answer atm, maybe 850w for some future upgrades? But don't go below 800w otherwise you may strain out your PSU. Good luck with the build!
