  1. I presume you got a cd/dvd with the motherboard drivers? try installing all of them.
  2. ^^, you wouldn't believe how many people forget they have to install drivers again when they reinstalled windows. also, there are some viruses out there that copy to another drive in the system to reinstall themselves after a reinstall of the OS.
  3. I sometimes use the mouse for Adobe Photoshop or Premiere, and the buttons really help with everything, I have assigned a lot of functionality to them to work faster.
  4. yup, i directly downloaded the drivers from asus' website; the download speed problem fixed itself, but the upload speed is still shit
  5. yes, i have tried it but the speed difference was within the margin of error
  6. okay, to go deeper into the problem: I have hit the speeds I should have using this exact setup before I reinstalled windows and laid the cable in a proper way (normally when I really had to use it I just put it over the floor). also, when i check the properties of the connection it says that there is no ipv6 connection, but if I recall correctly there was before, could this be part of the problem? my upload speed is also extremely low, 2 Mb/s. thanks
  7. okay, it's a bit better now and i got 120 Mb/s for a short moment but then it dipped back to 60 again; anyone got an idea?
  8. the cable is about 10 meters long and it is cat 6
  9. it is the exact same cable I used before, the only difference is that it now runs behind a few desks and a plinth.
  10. hi, I recently installed a new internet cable to my pc (before this I was using wifi) but my speeds are about 1/3 of what they should be (40Mb/s instead of 140Mb/s) and this is really bothering me; the thing is, I recently reinstalled windows and with it all my drivers, but before it was just doing fine at the moments i had cable. when I try it on another pc it just gets the normal speeds. I also cannot acces my router settings via 192.168.0.1. all help is welcome
  11. messaging Slick will probably help
  12. I connected it to the cpu_opt header, it works fine now, I think I'm gonna keep it this way.
  13. hi, I just bought a new fan, and after installing it in my pc. I tried to set up a fan curve using Fan Xpert II, but when I opened the program it didn't show a fan. I looked in the bios to see if it was recognised, it was, but back in Windows and Fan Xpert i couldnt configure it. (the third fan is the one i can't configure) any help on how to do this is welcome (the fan is a Noctua NF-A14 and the motherboard an Asus Maximus VI Hero)
