  1. Woohoo~~ Giveaways!!! Cause it would be nice if I could ever win something for a change (although no effort is required ) and not to mention the fact I'll never be able to afford these things Good luck to everyone!!
  2. Hey there thanks for the welcome. Yeah I guess it was kind of unclear but what I mentioned is my current build.Sorry about that I was planning to upgrade parts of it or to just get a whole new setup. About the monitors I guess I have to wait it out huh. Only thing that keeps bothering me is if I go Nvdia I would be forced to get G-Sync and If I get AMD I would have to resort to only FreeS.. That's the only thing that's holding me back here. The rams though ... I might be reading it wrong but.. that's what it says here on Speccy as well as in my BIOS. Screenshot http://puu.sh/a6kNd/6e95923cc3.png I'll give it a try to change the settings . Thanks again for the advice.
  3. Hey there, thanks for taking time to reply me I don't think so. I tried to change it to 1600MHz which resulted in BSOD's every now and then so I tried 1200MHz still the same.. I just reverted to the default 800MHz.
  4. So first off my budget is about RM 7000 which equates to about 2000 US Dollars as of this current moment. Sorry I'm from Malaysia but I just really need advice to optimize my current rig in terms of price and performance. My current setup is as follow : CPU - Intel Core i7 3770 @ 3.4 GHz Motherboard - Asus P8Z77-M Graphics Card - Sapphire 7870 2GB OC Edition. Power Supply - GX 750W Cooler Master Casing - CM Storm Enforcer RAM - some old Kingston RAMS 12 GB but I'll probably be replacing them as their clock speeds are only 800 MHz. Unless of course it doesn't matter. The general aim for the new computer / upgrade is for gaming. Games such as Total War Series, Skyrim ( Modded... A LOT ) , DotA 2, Watch Dogs, ArcheAge just to name a few. Preferably I would like to run these games at their max settings at high frame rates (50-60) Basically I'm looking for a smooth and beautiful game play with maxed out settings. ** This doesn't really matter if I can get my hands on a G-Sync enabled monitor that reduces the lag input and stutter I get from frame rate drops with V Sync on. I have not settled on should I just sell off my old PC (the one mentioned above) and get new parts from scratch or should I recycle my old parts and just change the main issues such as the graphics card / CPU? / monitor and probably power supply if it can't handle the new card. I was initially planning on 4k monitors however with my current budget I think I would lack the required money to get cards powerful enough to ensure a smooth gaming experience. TL:DR Need new monitor ( Preferably G-Sync / Free-Sync ) I also like Monitors with good color reproduction though I don't know if they are available with said tech New Graphics Card Should I change my processor for gaming. Does RAM clock speed matter for gaming. DDR4? <<---- Does It matter?
