Lachrymal reacted to WoodenMarker in Anyone own a windowed NZXT Source 220?
My friend's too lazy to measure so... Photoshop it is.

Lachrymal reacted to WoodenMarker in Anyone own a windowed NZXT Source 220?
Sure. I used the height spec, dropped in a transparent to-scale ruler, and went from there.

Unrelated, but you can actually use Photoshop to get dimensions like that, based on scale? Kinda like using it as CAD?

Lachrymal reacted to DigitalHermit in Mechanical Keyboards users, what do you think about rubber dome?
I prefer the semi-mechanical/scissor-switch ones... I found MX Blues to have too much of a travel before bottoming out... I like my keys shallow...

Nice build! Do you think you could explain to me why everyone insists on installing lights underneath the logo. I've seen it a few times and in my own, unpopular opinion it looks bad. Honest question.

hey i finally finished my build in the h440.
Specs:
Asus Maximus IV Hero
Intel i7 4770k
Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz 2x4gb RAM (i will replace them for dominator platinums, crucial smart tracer or avexir sticks)
Sapphire R9 290 reference
Samsung 840 120 GB SSD (maybe i'll get a second Samsung SSD with 256 GB)
Seagate 2 TB Hard Drive
Cooling
EKWB Supremacy Clean CSQ
XSPC Razor R9 290(X) w/ backplate
EKWB D5 vario X-Res Pump/Res Combo
XSPC EX 360 Rad (front)
Hardware Labs Black Ice Nemesis GTS 240 X-Flow Rad (top)
EKWB fittings
PrimoChill LRT Clear tubing 13mm od /10mm id
AquaComputer DP Red Coolant
5x Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition (which, to me, are far away from being quiet -.- i might replace them for Noiseblocker Eloops, someone experience with these?
for lighting i used NZXT sleeved LEDs and the cables are Bitfenix alchemy
Here are some pics
It was such a pain in the ass to fit the pump/res combo to the panel, where the hard drives actually would fit.., the front rad tourned out to be thicker than in the product description
i had luck that my friend gave me a pump mounting bracket from his Phanteks Enthoo Primo, otherwise i would have no clue how or where to mount the pump.. i just had to drill 2 holes in the panel
I think about modding the front panel.. since its really restrictive and with the radiator and pump/res combo mounted behind the fans its almost impossible for air to come through..
Someone already drilled or cut some vents in the front panel? How?
Sorry, i noticed the pics have wrong orientation hope you don't mind
Greetings from Germany!

REVISION 3.0
Re orientated the CPU waterblock so that it sits the correct way round now.
Replaced stock NXZT front intakes for dramatically improved airflow. Added Noctua NF-A14 IndustrialPPC 3000RPM to the "push" side of the Kraken radiator. And swapped the Enermax Apollish to the reverse side of the radiator. Added Bitfenix red sleeved GPU power cables. New EVGA Supernova G2 850w PSU. Replaced the HD7970 with Asus R9-290 DCUII-OC GPU. Added an extra 1TB HDD & Kingston 240GB SSD.

Best Buy is somewhat like a large department store or Walmart rather. Employees are only aware of what is in their section and the locations of the large department signs are to guide customers in a direction. They are normally pretty helpless outside of their area.
I ran into the same situation when looking for mech keyboards last time. What the heck are keyboards, mice, and video cards doing over by the xbox games??? That's sacrilege.

Lachrymal reacted to P e r s e p h o n e in Protective film on IPS monitor. Remove?
If the protective film in question is difficult in any way to remove it is like there by manufacturer specifications. It might be a matt coating to eliminate glare. Watch this Linus video and see what I mean starting 3:15.

Now added. Thinking of getting a comb for these, at least for now until they've straightened up.
