  1. This kind of ties in somewhere about NDE's and after reading a few articles on it I began questioning why no one ever mentions the feeling of "complete happiness and love" and the scientific reason on why they feel this. Though I'm quite sure there some damned explanation for that too. Because science wants you to believe we are all dust in the wind and there is no god lol.
  2. Personally, I'm not a fan of the design. It looks like they're trying too hard. But I sure wouldn't mind using it!
  3. Funny I was just having a discussion about this yesterday. My rig sits right next to me at eye level. I vape throughout the day. I dont give off heavy plumes and my rig is mostly closed off by sound dampening panels, but I think it's safe. If you vape with huge plumes and your rig is uncovered, I think after a year or so it will have built some sort of residue. I mean...it's vapor. It's moist chemicals on your stuff. Not a great idea personally. As for the ignoramus making argument over vaping and smoking......pls. Just don't even try...
  4. The rating buttons are there for a reason. If I dislike something I will thumbs down and state why I didn't like it. Constructive criticism. It's Youtube, not an orphanage.
  5. Yup "cool" white. They look more blue in the pic than they actually are. From what I recall there is a warm white as well. They do come in various colors as. They sell a lot on amazon but also have their own website if youre looking more into it. edit: THESE? ----- I think the camera soaked up alot of the room incandescent lighting making the case leds more blue in my profile pic. Away from that they look more white.
  6. As reference I also meant proof in experience. They want experience and proof you have it on top of education.
  7. Purchased! I'm sorry for the inconceivably hard target. Everyone had made creative recommendations, I just have a cramped, limited setup. Sometime in the future I will get an ikea desk and will like to have a very nice, roomy place to game. Baby steps. For now these will be hugging my monitor.
  8. No you're right I am sorry. That is a very good find!......and a very tight fit. Evidently my choice in desks is a sub par. I forgive myself because I only had a measly laptop before all this. Unless I am getting the dimensions wrong and its actually 6.5 inches wide.
  9. Well heck where do I find a 2.1 system with shelf speakers with a width no bigger than 6.5 or so inches?
  10. By the way, if I were to find some shelf speakers to fit on my desk, do the magnets still affect screens like they used to? Because they will be flush up against my monitor most likely.
  11. Lol, thanks but I already got a bargain on seinheisers. As comfy as they are, they do tend to get heavy and still have some clamp left. Plus, I am home alone for a number of hours. Would love to free my head of them and play games by speaker. It's seems I may have made a splash in the audiophile pool and I am not getting much more than "spend more money" or "get shelf speakers". May I add, that we are currently using a Regent 5.1 system for our tv and it sounds just great for gaming. Only spent around $40 for it 10 years ago. Perhaps it because I said I will use it for music, is why you all are suggesting I pay more. Would your answers be any different if I said I wouldnt use them for music? I said I preferred not using the other compy to listen to better music. Not that I won't. Being a huge fan of music I fully understand youre concern for the best quality no matter what, but if I can just get a little bass and decent highs for gaming. Thats all I ask. What is the best of the best 2.1 for under $80? Edit: Heck if I really wanted to, I can plug my headphones into my phone while I clean.....bahahahaha! I won't though.
  12. Around here they want good references or a damn paper saying you took classes for two years....
  13. No i mean around $50 give or take. At this rate it's more give than take. So between $50 - $80.
  14. My desk is inadequate to the size of bookshelf speakers. I only have 7" wide clearance on either side of my monitor, no room on my walls, and no room on the floor by my comp to place them there. I mean we have 3 desks lined up in a room and there's just no sharable space.
  15. I feel the same. I've built my dream machine....now I'm scraping up ideas on things to add to my station. Speakers, controller, messing around with more stuff inside. I dunno how many times I've taken off the panel to adjust things.
  16. When I said around 50, I meant $15 lower or higher in price. So I will consider that. Not liking the idea of moving speakers to another room because most of the time they will be used for gaming. Stereo speakers that fit on a small desk?? My standards aren't that high. I just barely have a clue as to what kind of names and reliability I am getting into with speaker audio and my preference was merely a rough sketch of what I'd like in that price range. If I'm not going to get impressive audio quality with the money I have then I will have to deal with it. I would appreciate a better answer than merely choosing by aesthetics, as you suggested. I've no money left to invest in better options unfortunately.
  17. I have a rather small-ish desk (35 x 20) and a fair demand for quality sound. I trust your opinion here more than I do on the newegg or amazon website as to what is the best I can get for around $50. I'm used to listening to 135 watts of power with shelf speakers when cleaning house. Sometimes I have the freedom to listen to games without headphones as well. I know I won't get close to the nice system I was using but what is the best I can get for that price?
  18. Cut them down to maybe a foot and put them on the drive bay. Very bright needless to say. 6 inches on top and on the side would suffice. http://www.amazon.com/SUPERNIGHT-White-16-4FT-Flexible-Lights/dp/B00ASVGI8O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1394199488&sr=8-1&keywords=supernight+5050+smd
  19. Welcome! Don't forget to sub to Linus' Techquickie channel. He explains particular subjects and tech in a matter of minutes.
  20. Just for reference the leds in my case are 5050 leds, that of which bitfenix uses as well. They are very bright and I've only used under a foot of strip. NZXT lights are not 5050 but the configured rbg option is nice. Though you can always get more rgb/ other color for more at less cost if you buy your own leds. Others are typically 3528 and do great accent lighting. Sometimes I think the 5050s are just too much. Especially white cases. Next time you see a lit build ask them what brightness their leds are and you can compare.
  21. Still trying to keep a stable oc.

  22. Yes I've considered those. I'm hoping since the 24 pin is all on one plug I wont need it for those. It's just the darned single pin on the right that's separating itself from the rest.
