Sorry if it's a bit rambley lol.
About 2 months ago my PC developed an issue where it wouldn't turn on and would only flash the lights when the PSU was switched on. However, when it was left for a while, it turned on. Then, about a month or so ago it would consistently turn on and just throw random codes on it's display. I reseated the CPU and ran 8GB of RAM instead of 16 and it actually worked up until yesterday. Now, I'm back to square one where it won't turn on unless it's left for a while.
Even though the PSU is only half a year old I tested it by jumping the green pin and it runs the fans therefore telling me its the motherboard.
I'm BROKE at the moment so any idea for a temporary fix?
It's a gigabyte Z97x soc with an i5 4690k and 16GB of Vengeance DDR3. In an ideal world, I'd get a more recent board, cpu and ram but, unfortunately, I don't have that kind of money atm. I obviously wouldn't have a warranty as the hardware is about 5 years old.
I will literally die of boredom being in lockdown without this PC so all help is extremely appreciated.
