  1. Looks like they updated the end of the thread saying that a firmware update is coming out end of April. Fingers crossed it fixes the turbo write issue.
  2. Hey NewMaxx, great to see you on here. When I first installed the drive, I was seeing around 5GB/s. I'm thinking that something in a Windows update screwed up the TRIM. The drive's been idle for around a week at this point, and I've run optimization manually a few times. I'm hoping they push an update soon, it's strange that Samsung omitted the 980 pro from their nvme firmware package. The behavior does seem to match direct writing to TLC. I'm seeing the drive max out at almost exactly 2.2GB/s. I have the Windows "write caching" policy on, but it doesn't seem to make a difference because the drive seems to be ignoring the SLC cache. Samsung support seems to just want to process an RMA, but I'm pretty sure a new drive will show the same problem. For the time being, 2.2GB/s isn't too much to complain about, just wondering if anyone's found a workaround.
  3. Hi, Were you ever able to find a solution to this? My drive only has about 150GBs on it and I'm seeing the same 2GBps that you are. I'm using an Strix X-570I and a 3950x
  4. I use the OpenVPN docker to connect to my local network and from there, I can access my shares, the web-ui and anything else on the local network, SpaceInvaderOne has a great video on setting it up.
  5. Hey, As a general rule, most cellphones without Qualcomm quick charge or a Samsung equivalent technology will charge on 5v and 1-2 amps of current. Anything higher than that and you will fry the battery. Technically even quick charge slowly kills the battery, but it intelligently switches between 14v-12v-8v-5v (and various amperages) in order to minimize the damage and charge time. I don't believe the G3 has quick charge, but I encourage you to check for yourself. If the original charger pumped out 1.8 amps, then 2 amps at 5 v should be fine . I recommend any Anker product on Amazon or anywhere else as they are a reputable manufacturer. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!
  6. Thank you for your responses, I have contacted Jaybird, and a sales rep has verified that a new model will be released by the end of summer 2015. However he didn't reveal the exact release date. I think I'll wait for the new model to be released, before deciding if i'll buy the new one or the old one.
  7. Hi LTT community, I have had the problem of ruining several pairs of earbuds by tugging the cord too hard while running. This has lead me to search for a pair of wireless earbuds to remedy this problem. I came across the video on the Jaybird Bluebuds X, and I was bent on purchasing them...Until I saw that the came out in 2012. I don't want to buy these now, just to see a newer better version released the following month. If any of you have experience with Jaybird, I was wondering when the release of the updated Bluebuds would be released. If any of you have other recommendations for earbuds, that would also be appreciated. Cheers
  8. I'm currently using Cyanogenmod 11 on a t-mobile gs3, and I haven't experienced any of those problems..Which build of cyanogenmod are you running on your phone?
  9. This man is a smart man! The GtX 980m has the same GK204 chip as the desktop 980 and 970, and it has the amount of CUDA cores as the GTX 970. Thus the performance is almost on the same level. If you wait just a bit longer, you can see performance gains of around 40-50% when compared to your Desktop GPU. So..unless you need this laptop now, I would suggest that you wait. Good Luck on your Decision
  10. HI! If you go to the settings, then about phone, and then status, you should be able to see the charging status of the phone. If it says AC, that means the phone is receiving 1000 milliamps. If it says USB, then the phone is getting 500 milliamps or less. Also, it would be helpful to know how long you've had the phone, and if you've changed roms, kernels, or chargers before this problem occured. Good luck on your problem -Dan
  11. Hi! I think that this laptop will suit you perfectly in all of your needs. You may need to turn down some game settings, but for the most part you should be able to run games on medium and high with the occasional ultra. Battery life may not be terrific, but I assume that you don't care about that a lot. Good luck in your choice -Dan
  12. Hi, The Mediaserver service that Is running on your phone is the software accessing or locally stored media such as music and videos or writing to storage. If you have been on any questionable sites or have downloaded questionable apps, then you may want to scan your phone for a virus or hidden remote mic service. But before doing this make sure to drain your battery completely, and then restart your phone to try and reset your battery drain stats, and android internal processes. If you tap on the media server service it will show you a screen with cpu stats, and wake time, do you mind posting that screenshot on the forums? Goodluck
  13. I don't know if this post will meet your needs, but after I flashed cyanogenmod 11 on my Gs3, this method worked to re-enable wifi-calling (I had t-mobile wifi calling). http://thedroidguy.com/2014/04/setup-wifi-calling-android-device-88975#AciCmEqpuvbuCVjO.97 Give this a try
