I can see where ADA is coming from and why it's important in US. I have also made an image in my head from US court system and this ruling really does fit in it because someone is going to make HUGE amounts of money from this and this ruling is also dumb as boot because of that.
Everyone can probably see that mom & pops shop, that made a web page back in the early 2000's as part of marketing campaign that was so cool and needful by the summer intern, getting sued by blind identifying scammer... person and loosing $50,000,000 because this kind of stupidy just is possible.

Kind of a shame for your argument though that ActiBlizz just activated the UNO reverse card and gave the player his earned money, reinstated him into the competitive play.. etc.

It's equal parts scary and unifying that most of us are looking to get an old friend or relative back again. That's God's plan for humans right there, we all want each other's company.

    My Thoughts:
While I get where the ADA complaint is coming from, I am a terribly upset that additional groundwork wasn't set forth to prevent troll lawsuits. I've read horror stories of troll ADA complaints from newspapers to reddit's legaladvice sub and it's definitely not fun. This can easily be abused with automated detection of potentially infringing websites by detecting those using old, not screen-ready friendly content (looking at you Flash), and become mass troll lawsuits easily. Regardless, hopefully some good with come with this with the removal of more user-unfriendly site content (once again, looking at you Flash)

TheKDub reacted to kirashi in Buyers of the LTT water bottle, do you regret it?
I see what you did there.  All new water bottles have a manufacturer smell / taste for some time period... that's how manufacturing works, similar to a new car smell, or the smell of burning plastic for the first 100 hours of running a new PSU. (something something if the burning plastic smell from your PSU doesn't go away, get the fire extinguisher.)

I suspect the real issue is that many people who've bought the water bottle have maybe never bought such an item on their own before, so they don't realize it needs to be washed... multiple times... before it's "clean" tasting? Not trying to stereotype or judge LTT viewers here - merely pointing out that anyone who's bought a beverage container previously should have experienced an off-taste prior to washing it a few times at least once before.

It sounds like very high CPU usage is normal on BF5. https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/discussion/164123/battlefield-5-100-cpu-usage-bad-fps-stability/p4 Over here someone with an i9 9900K @ 5GHz was sitting around 70-85% CPU usage (with a RTX 2080Ti)

Make sure you've got any game overlays (Steam, Discord, Windows, etc...) disabled. That might help with stutter issues.

Apparently the next version will not be available for download anymore.  A Microsoft employee will come over with a USB stick and guide you through the install.

I managed to get a photo of that, courtesy of a friend who's in the Windows Insider program.

This is not true. It's entirely possible to install a distro like Ubuntu and do "everyday tasks" without having to use the terminal once.
It just depends on what your definition of "everyday tasks" is. Most people I know would not need the terminal because they do little more than web browsing and use an office suite.

I don't think they are any different, other than some functionality being disabled (by default) if you don't use a Microsoft account such as clipboard syncing.
Not sure what you mean with the last part but I assume it's "why are people critizing Microsoft for this? Would you say the same thing if Google made it mandatory for Android" and I think the answer to that is yes. I would not be pleased if Google all of a sudden started requiring an online account to use your phone.
But there is a big difference here. We have never really had good privacy and options on our phones. If you get a smartphone it's kind of understood that it will suck in terms of options and privacy (at least with Android). However, we are used to it being decent on PCs.
I think it's a bigger blow (and news) when one sector goes backwards and makes a product worse (if you think dark patterns is a step back, which I think it is) by limiting options and choice. Going from decent to bad is a bigger punch than going from bad to slightly more bad.

I would say that most people do not count Skype and Teamviewer as their everyday tasks.

But here is how to do it in Windows.
    1) Open the Microsoft Store
    2) Search for Skype
    3) Click on Skype
    4) Click "Install".

    On Ubuntu it's:
    1) Open "Ubuntu Software"
    2) Search for Skype
    3) Click on Skype
    4) Click "Install"

Wow it's so much different, right!?
Geez... GNU/Linux sure is sooo much more complicated than Windows. (sarcasm).

Here is how to install Teamviewer on Windows:
    1) Go to teamviewer.com in your browser.
    2) Download the installer (or choose run to skip step 3).
    3) Double click on the installer.
    4) Run the installation wizard, mostly clicking next and avoiding to install some unwanted bundleware.

Here is how to install Teamviewer on Ubuntu:
    1) Go to teamviewer.com in your browser.
    2) Download the installer (or choose run to skip step 3).
    3) Double click the installer.
    4) Click "Install" when Ubuntu Software has popped up asking if you want to install Teamviewer.

WOW, it's so much more difficult you guys!!!

What extra step(s) did I do with the GNU/Linux instructions?

Now you're moving the goalpost. Your original argument was that GNU/Linux required the terminal to use for everyday tasks. That is not true.
Now you're arguing that some university might ask you to use Word or whatever, which is a completely separate argument, one that I might not even agree with. I guess it depends on which class you took, but for my networking education we were actually pushed to use GNU/Linux quite a bit but most stuff was OS agnostic. The only requirements were that things like essays and reports were submitted as PDFs. In fact, we were not allowed to submit things as something else such as word documents. I would be surprised if it was different at other schools.

Don't even consider the reference models (or any blower card in general) unless you're ripping the cooler off and water cooling them, they run much louder and hotter than even mediocre AIB models..

Either save up a bit more, or get a solid 5700 instead. I highly recommend the Sapphire Pulse. If the Sapphire Nitro+ 5700 is out yet, that one's even stronger of a recommendation.

If you want to show that information you'd just have to type it in like you do with the desktop specs.
