Don't worry about it, there won't be a performance difference between the GPU using PCIe 3.0 and PCIe 4.0. For the most part the only thing that can really take advantage of PCIe 4.0's speed is SSDs.

If the setup is just for the lols, then go for it, but if you actually plan to use it, no. Ice packs are a fucking stupid idea. Also, why is there a reservoir with pump and then another reservoir? That makes literally zero sense.

If your friend is going to be in charge of the constant rotation of ice packs then give it a go. I wouldn't go anywhere near it.

DualGPU Gaming is dead because no one wants bad press anymore and it was never sorted to work properly as a standard.
 
Frametime spikes and dodgey frame delivery timing makes 120fps in Dualgpu feel much like slower/shifty 45fps feels in frame delivery.

If you're planning on using them for gaming, absolutely not. Crossfire (and SLI) are both essentially dead. Very few games still support it, and the performance gains when they do aren't worth the added component cost, heat output, and power consumption.

I like your thinking. Plus! If you can find Halloween themed ones (since, you know, orange and black) I bet they could get a real good deal.

Just noticed in that screenshot, and the first one. You have an A4-6300, not an FX-6300. The A4-6300 is a "dual core" CPU (Two cores in one physical module, which is why Task Manager shows 1 core but 2 logical processors.)

Yep, they've been doing this for years.
 
The best solution is to not use any of their garbage equipment in the first place and just buy your own.

Ryzen in MacBooks would be amazing, in all honesty. I'm rocking a 3500U in my current laptop and it's an amazing little CPU for how little power it draws.

With all the terrible Blizzard business decisions and staff departures over the previous years, the developer which made past games people loved is long dead and gone.

I would say that Blizzard was a sell-out studio throughout the history of its existence, but Blizzard sold itself so readily and early in its existence that it was never really in control of itself to have the chance to continue being a sell-out studio. It's gotten around more than a cheap hooker.

Davidson & Associates was sold to CUC International in 1996.
CUC International became a part of Cendant in 1997.

Vivendi Games merged with Activision in 2008 and became Activision Blizzard.

Blizzard has been like a card that companies keep in their personal deck for a short while before trading it again. I wonder what psychological effect that has on the studio's management and how challenging it is to keep a consistent development philosophy while ownership keeps changing.
 
The last independent game Blizzard made was likely Rock n' Roll Racing or The Lost Vikings, which was before Blizzard was called Blizzard, and while it was still called Chaos Studios. Warcraft: Orcs and Humans was released in late 1994, and Blizzard was acquired by Davidson & Associates in early 1994. Maybe Blizzard had started working on Warcraft: Orcs and Humans before they were purchased.
 

Personally, I think Warcraft II is the last great game Blizzard has made. I find Starcraft to be pretty good, but Warcraft III went completely cheesy and lame with the story. And the limitation on how many units can be built in War 3 was a letdown.
 
I think that since then, Blizzard have made highly-polished, yet extremely cheesy fairy-fart narratives that wasted the games' potentials, largely due to Chris Metzen. He had been given way too much influence in the company and over game narratives, despite his writing being cheesy, sappy, tropey, cliche, and overall undermining the games Blizzard were making. Metzen was brilliant at artwork, but was an utterly cringy hack as a writer. He should have been kept on artwork duty, which is where he shone.
 
I see Chris Metzen finally leaving the company in 2016 as a long-overdue positive development. But at the same time, tons of Blizzard's other staff have also left or been fired since then. So, whatever benefit Chris' departure might have yielded is probably offset by the flushing of the studio's talent.

If we could do that in the 2000's, why can't we do it now? Was it too much work? Too bad! You're a company and should be looking to put your best product forward. 
 
As a lover of RTS, that scene did hold a lot of my time growing up. If we could play that on LAN (arguably even WAN), speeds that would even make snails blush, why should we expect issues with faster networks? And then not riot against the company? 

Blizzard banning people. Oh boy, what a shock. This company has their moral compass so fucked up they couldn't find their own ass even if they tried.

they also moved overwatch league from twitch to youtube which i think is a terrible decision

I would just do chargebacks if they don't want to refund the money. They aren't entitled to any money if the product isn't what it was supposed to be. Remasters really need to die if you can't be arsed to do a good job.
