  1. Yes and no. There's no such thing as "Futureproof" as we have no idea what the future will bring. If you have the money/won't have to compromise any other part of the build, and will see benefit from the better CPU, then yes, I'd go for the i7 or r7. If you'll have to skimp out on another part of the build, or you won't see any performance gain from it, then no, don't get the i7 or r7.
  2. https://amzn.to/32VbeuL I just recently got this one. So far it's great. The ratcheting mechanism is sturdy. My biggest complaint is it doesn't seem to be magnetic.
  3. Yes, you can use it to install Windows, however you'll have to format it to do so. (All data on it will get wiped.)
  4. Yes, using a power strip is fine. If it wasn't, they wouldn't exist. I personally have my PC, two monitors, hard drive dock, modem, and router all connected to my UPS, which is connected to a single outlet. I used to have all that and my speakers, along with my laptop for charging and sometimes even a second computer and third monitor, all off a single plug. I'd recommend keeping the total load below around 12A (1440W) just to be safe.
  5. What's your current cooler? And what's your budget for a cooler? (You listed the Hyper 411R (which is the H411R, not 411R) as your cooler, but also said you're thinking about buying it.) As for the RAM and cooler combo... https://pcpartpicker.com/b/2q29TW Looks like someone was using it with Dominator Platinums, which are decently tall, so it shouldn't be an issue.
  6. No. HTML = Hypertext Markup Language. It's a markup language, not a "coding language" A markup language is a language that annotates text so that the computer can manipulate that text. Most markup languages are human readable because the annotations are written in a way to distinguish them from the text itself. https://www.lifewire.com/what-are-markup-languages-3468655 HTML (and other markup languages) are just a way of adding structure and context to text.
  7. The iPhone still had a headphone jack while Steve was around. Tim took it away from us.
  8. I'd highly recommend replacing that H60 with something better. Either a high end air cooler like the Noctua NH-D15, BeQuiet! Dark Rock Pro 4, or a 240mm+ AIO. (There are cheaper air coolers that'll suffice, however if you want best cooling + low noise, those would be your best options. Your CPU is running fairly hot (I don't like letting mine go much past 72c) and could be part of it. (throttling maybe?) Your RAM shouldn't be an issue as it's 3000MT/s CAS16, which is fine for Ryzen. If it's running at a slower speed, check your motherboard's manual for how to "overclock" it to the appropriate speed. For now, maybe try increasing the fan speeds on your radiator, and make sure the pump speed is pretty high too.
  9. 86C is a bit warm. I wouldn't want any of my components running over mid 70s for extended periods of time. OP, look into adding an exhaust fan or two. Also, play around with the fan curve for the GPU. You might also want to get some canned air and clear any dust out of it. If your case has any filtered intakes, be sure to clean those regularly as dust can build up on them!
  10. What's your internet speed? What form of internet do you have? (DSL, Cable, Fiber, Sattelite, Mobile Hospot, etc...) And what games?
  11. Not many people use USB OTG, and with the number of different cloud file sharing sites/apps, I doubt many use flash drives with their phones either. HDMI can be solved with wireless video casting/mirroring (You can mirror your Android device on a Roku, fire tv, android tv, etc...) over wifi. Phone fans suck ass. They get in the way and they drain your battery. Also, who tf uses a plug in light with their phone? The only things I even semi-regularly connect to my phone are wired earbuds (because wireless audio generally is trash), and a charging cable.
  12. Except Bluetooth is a thing. I wouldn't be surprised if all ports disappear from at least some phones within the next few years.
  13. Make sure nothing is covering the sensor. Try connecting it to another port. If it still doesn't work, there's probably something physically broken within the mouse, cable, or connector. If you don't have much money to spend, here are some cheap options: $10 Wireless Mouse - https://amzn.to/34wgvu1 $7 Amazon Wired Mouse - https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-3-Button-Wired-Computer-1-Pack/dp/B005EJH6RW
  14. Minecraft is heavily single thread reliant. Having 32+ slower cores would result in worse performance than something with 4-8 faster cores.
  15. Very likely yes, it'll hold back the GPU. That said, if you've already got both of them, and they're the best you've got, I don't see why you wouldn't use them together.
  16. Yes, you can, and it will work, however I'd suggest looking into Linux, since the laptop probably won't have a great time running Windows.
  17. Probably because it's convenient, no wires to connect/disconnect, no connector to wear out, etc... I've got a wireless charger on my desk for my Galaxy S7. I don't use it when I need a fast charge, but if I'm at my computer, I'll toss it on there just to keep the charge level up.
  18. It'll work, yes, however I'd strongly recommend at least 3000MHz RAM if you want to get more out of your CPU.
  19. I like "thin and light" laptops because it's less weight sitting in my backpack, it takes up less space, and it looks way better than those behemoth "thick and heavy" laptops.
  20. https://shop.snapon.com/product/SSDMR4BO - This is the one he has. https://shop.snapon.com/product/SSDMR8AO - This one has a longer shaft. You can also find them used for a bit cheaper.
  21. blue screened* Also, drop that voltage ASAP. 1.5V is way too much. I wouldn't suggest going much over 1.3v unless you've got a solid cooler.
