Exactly this.   I agree 1000% The blind fanboys here will never realize this because they are blindly praising Linus in everything he does. Steve just wants Linus to do better.   And as any company, should be held responsible for their actions.   Gigabyte released a dangerous product, imagine if no one called them out for exploding psus? MSI and their shady marketing/pr tactics? Do we give these companies a pass? Why is LMG special? Even fans have to realize people mess up, corporations mess up, and all need to be held accountable if a product is released to the public.

Comparing this issue to someone killing themselves is a weird take, and rather insensitive IMO. The lengths people go to defending Linus doesn't surprise me though.
What GN wanted out of this is for LMG to realize their mistakes and improve content quality, also because LTT has a testing lab, if they want to seem like a professional company doing real testing then they need to make sure the tests are accurate as possible.
GN has been careful about criticizing LMG for a while now because of the fanbase that always defends Linus no matter what they do or what dumb take they have. The GN video needed to happen and its things people have been complaining about for years now. Even with the GN video and the recap with more info, people are still getting emotional and defending Linus while they to do damage control.
I find it interesting people think doing investigative journalism is somehow "milking". I guess watching informative videos that call out companies for their BS and anti-consumer tactics just isn't for you then.

And yet Linus's videos are all out in the open for anyone to criticize.   It is no different.  His videos have gone down hill, and I think he is trying to push too much out.   What if you or I called out the errors in his videos, should we be obliged to contact LMG first? No.   We do not have too.

No different than Linus doing a secret shopper, but GN didn't add points for being their sponsor

Linus is also building a multi million dollar lab to be accurate as possible.  Meanwhile his videos are riddled with errors and issues.   You ok with that? The Billet labs was a tremendously bad move on their part, and how they handled it.   But if you are investing in a multi million dollar "lab", you have to get the basics right.

Personally, I think GN had every right to post his findings, and he came with receipts.   LTT videos have been going down hill, and I think he is just attempting to release too much too quickly.

His response was also very childish.  He should have had a more thought out response, sucked it up, and admitted he/LMG made some mistakes.   The Internet I think as a whole, would have had some short term anger and accepted it.

I don't fault Steve at all.   Business is business, and he laid all his facts out, nothing up to misinterpretation.

Yes, because among other things they are legally required to. The fact that some of them don't means they are breaking the law.
Not unless LTT starts going easy on them in reviews for seemingly no reason.
No. Many live off of merch or Patrons who give them money monthly, or rely on YT ad revenue.
Not at all the same thing. If Linus buys shares in a company that LMG reviews products of, then Linus should not be involved in that video at all. Period. The appearance of a conflict of interest is enough to cause doubt about LMG's integrity
Nothing Steve said wasn't backed up by evidence.

    LMG rushes videos: fact.
LMG makes mistakes in virtually every video: fact.
LMG sold a prototype that they had no right to sell: fact.
LMG wasn't willing to spend a bit of extra time to make their videos accurately : fact.

LMG made misrepresentations about the testing capabilities and performance of GN and HUB: fact.

LMG made misrepresentations about Billet's prototype's capabilities: fact.

Linus made misrepresentations about LMG's communication with Billet: fact.

Linus made misrepresentations that LMG had material evidence which would have altered the Steve GN video, when it has been shown Linus had nothing further to add: fact.

Nothing more enjoyable than playing my flight sims in VR (DCS, IL2). Eyetracking cant compare to a good immersive experience (have used both).

And the quest 2 has hand tracking....its had it for years. and you dont need a huge room, hell, most of the games I play in VR are just sitting down (though I am heavily invested in flight sims). But even games I play standing up (beat saber for example), I play in a small office. I have no issues doing it.

I rather sacrifice 1 sports game for utility of a PC and its vast catalogue of games. A few of my favorite games which I have thousands of hours on arent even a thought on consoles (DCS World and X3 Terran Conflict). Most consoles cant handle games of those complexities, and I would be sad....
