Exactly this. I agree 1000% The blind fanboys here will never realize this because they are blindly praising Linus in everything he does. Steve just wants Linus to do better. And as any company, should be held responsible for their actions. Gigabyte released a dangerous product, imagine if no one called them out for exploding psus? MSI and their shady marketing/pr tactics? Do we give these companies a pass? Why is LMG special? Even fans have to realize people mess up, corporations mess up, and all need to be held accountable if a product is released to the public.

Gamers Nexus alleges LMG has insufficient ethics and integrity

Linus is also building a multi million dollar lab to be accurate as possible. Meanwhile his videos are riddled with errors and issues. You ok with that? The Billet labs was a tremendously bad move on their part, and how they handled it. But if you are investing in a multi million dollar "lab", you have to get the basics right. -

Is GN a direct investor in a company that has competition with other companies he is reviewing? -

And yet Linus's videos are all out in the open for anyone to criticize. It is no different. His videos have gone down hill, and I think he is trying to push too much out. What if you or I called out the errors in his videos, should we be obliged to contact LMG first? No. We do not have too. -

No different than Linus doing a secret shopper, but GN didn't add points for being their sponsor -

Personally, I think GN had every right to post his findings, and he came with receipts. LTT videos have been going down hill, and I think he is just attempting to release too much too quickly. His response was also very childish. He should have had a more thought out response, sucked it up, and admitted he/LMG made some mistakes. The Internet I think as a whole, would have had some short term anger and accepted it. I don't fault Steve at all. Business is business, and he laid all his facts out, nothing up to misinterpretation. -
Meta announces Quest 3, cuts Quest 2 price, shows off games
miagisan replied to WolframaticAlpha's topic in Tech News
Nothing more enjoyable than playing my flight sims in VR (DCS, IL2). Eyetracking cant compare to a good immersive experience (have used both). And the quest 2 has hand tracking....its had it for years. and you dont need a huge room, hell, most of the games I play in VR are just sitting down (though I am heavily invested in flight sims). But even games I play standing up (beat saber for example), I play in a small office. I have no issues doing it. -
i work around the clock, having jobs running 24/7. I visits job sites often. I print out permits, schedules, field paperwork, or anything else that needs to be printed for my field staff. My office is an hour away from my house, easier to remote into my work computer, print out what I need and go to a jobsite/inspection than go to the office. I can go through a ream of paper every 2 weeks.

I rather sacrifice 1 sports game for utility of a PC and its vast catalogue of games. A few of my favorite games which I have thousands of hours on arent even a thought on consoles (DCS World and X3 Terran Conflict). Most consoles cant handle games of those complexities, and I would be sad....

Just an update.....I ended up finding a great deal on an open box PowerColor Fighter 6800 (non XT) from Microcenter. I changed it out, its been 3 days of never turning off my computer, and I have had 0 crashes. Why would a GPU cause CPU Cache Heirarchy Errors? My brain hurts....I been working on this issue for over a year now....
-
Already changed the CPU (3600 to 5700x), changed the ram, turned off XMP, turned off ryzen boosting, played with voltages. Looking for the next cheap step.

I am having issues where my computer randomly turns off and reboots, with the error CPU Cache Heirarchy Core XX (core changes all the time). I currently have tested the ram (passed), changed the cpu (3600x to 5700x), reinstalled windows and drivers (GPU/chipset/lan/etc), and updated the bios on the mobo. Temps are all normal (cpu is at 71C, gpu 68C edge/75C junction). I have also upped the voltage on the Memory (1.4v now), VSOC (1.10), VDDG (0.95) and VDDP (0.90). Still happens, just not as often. It used to happen a multiple times a day, but now its only a couple of times a day, so getting closer. The question I have is, I am thinking it may be the power supply, and was wondering if I changed from a Corsair RM750 (2019) to a RMx850 850x (2021) if i could just leave the cables and swap the power supply. According to this list, I should be able to but I just want to double check: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/psu-cable-compatibility Parts List: CPU: Ryzen 5700x MoBo: Asus Tuf Gaming X570-Plus (WiFi) Ram: 2x16gb G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4-3600 CL 16 CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition Storage: Sabrent Rocket 1 TB M.2 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME (2 of these) Video Card: Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX5700 XT 8 GB Case: Fractal Design Meshify C ATX PSU: Corsair RM750 (2019) 750W 80+ Gold

There are probably infinitely more games on the PC than on the consoles combined. And i like the flexibility of a pc over a console. The only thing i miss from consoles is a good NHL game to play lol

Did you DDU the old drivers before installing the new card?
-
Servers are built for specific functions (ex. databasing, virtualization, AI, 3d design, etc)...and each function has different hardware which makes it specific to that task. You can build a cheap DIY home file server and automation server for a cost of a raspberry pi....or you can spend up to millions depending on what tasks you want it to accomplish. I am running a home server and game server off a 10 year old computer, what do YOU NEED IT TO DO will dictate WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY.

Reinstall the driver's using DDU or factory reset with the driver install. Happens to me once in a while when I try some overclocking. When the driver's crash, windows 11 replaces them with generic drivers. It's friggin annoying.

Alert for LastPass Users, The Breach in August was Worse Than Expected
miagisan replied to scottyseng's topic in Tech News
Thankful i switched from LastPass to Bitwarden a few months before this happened. Seems like I dodged a bullet. -
Because it actually is the spec from people/consortiums who write the spec.....

Rather than children, I think adults should be limited in accessing the internet. Look how many wacky conspiracy theorists and Q believers think that JFK is coming back as vice president. Adults are just as susceptible as children to BS. (Partly joking but also partly serious) It's the parents job to keep tabs on the kids, not the government. Only time the government should ever get involved is when the child's life or welfare is in jeopardy. If you can't/don't be a parent and rely on TV or internet to raise your kids, that's on you.
