  1. For whats its worth, my colleague ran this test !
  2. Thanks for the comment !!! Yes, I absolutely would have preferred nicer cables. The BeQuiet Power Pro 10 PSU is a really fantastic PSU.. It is, I have to say, a really well engineered piece of kit, and very much serves its purpose in remaining 'silent'. However, on the cable side, it would have been so nice to extend their engineering perfection to the ascetics of the supplied cables just for the sake of... completeness I guess. I really didn't have too much time to plan in LEDs... many have mentioned its lacking in that department, so I'll happily take that on the chin The 'K' version of the CPU didn't really interest me for the simple reason, I'm not using it to game on, even though you could probably OC it enough to see marginal benefits in over all performance, I don't fancy stressing the CPU for what I am using it for => (consistency is a must) . And unless Intel backs up on the claim next years 'Broadwell' will be compatible with the recent released x97 chipset, I will most definitely upgrade. As for the apparent 'debatable' Titan Black, although my colleague has Crysis 3 and seems very keen to install it on this rig, I'm not currently using it to game on, just crunching numbers, of which it is churning out with absolute ease.. Am I happy with the results ? Absolutely ! I understand it's probably quite a niche product, but I seem to have found myself there !!
  3. I am pretty much using it for number crunching and not gaming to be honest... also note the non 'K' CPU . The titan BK was the only card aside from the TITAN Z, that had more than 4gb's of VRAM... and we were looking around 4.5-5GB's of VRAM for a specific task. I've been running it for a week now, and I have to it's performance is very good. Yes, there are better solutions out there in terms of bang for your buck... but in this case a single card was preferred, and, touch wood, it has paid off.
  4. Haha... Lol @ vandettas )) Thanks for the reply. In defense to your remarks... I will be adding a RAID config next month. I just need to get his up and running. I'm not too into LED's to be honest, more understated for me. But each to their own .Orange ? I dont think I have anything orange, unless you're refering to the board led ? The fan does cover the dimm slot, but, I can fit a stick in there quite nicely. I did do a test before hand. So I should get a point back for that The Titan black is for a very specific purpose and the next closest is the Titan Z, which is beyond my reach at this current time. The small OC is probably unnecessary on the EVGA model, but it was merely a few £'s difference.
  5. That's absolutely true... again, great quality PSU... but the cables would be so much nicer in black though. The bright yellow doesn't really fit any modern day PC. Maybe 20 years ago but not in this day and age !
  6. That's not a bad idea actually.... There was a video on YT with a guy change the bulb for a white one, That was PRE install I think... May be a bit tight to do that POST. But either way.. it's a great case !!! I have a feeling the fans, compared to BeQuiet may be a little noisier, but thats really nit picking. Something I could possibly look at swapping over in the future. I'll get one and do a test.
  7. The only thing I'm not so keen on the case is the LED light on the power switch is red... White would have been a nice touch. But other than that, it's a great case with excellent cable management.
  8. Thanks for the reply ! I didn't know much about BeQuiet until a few months ago, when I started researching the parts for this build. All of their products look good, but more importantly, they sound great, and by that I mean I they are inaudible. So BeQuiet do get my thumbs up !
  9. Nope, I can quite happily confirm I'm on 1440p !
  10. Haha... I was waiting for that. I crunch numbers for a living. Graphical ones at that. I'm not too big on gaming... but it's provided me with the best of both worlds. I need the double precision... and the 'Z' is way to much for me.
  11. I'm very pleased at the fact its totally silent. I can't hear it at all. Even with my ear up close... nada...! I think the BeQuite stuff in conjunction with the case has really paid off.
  12. 11/10 !?!? Too kind )))) Thank you
