ImDanil's Achievements

  1. Every time I try to do a windows update (in the past few months), I always get the error code. I assume it happened because, while updating the 1,000 damn languages, my cat managed to unplug the computer several times (we have terrible plugs). Anyways, I did what Windows suggested I do. -Stop windows update -delete everything under Windows>SoftwareDistribution>Downloads and DataStore -start windows update -do an update That didn't work. Then I downloaded and ran Microsoft Fix It. That didn't do anything.
  2. Thanks guy. Luckily Amazon took care of everything!
  3. Yup, found that out when I was researching my problem. Will do, and I'm returning them. A friend has a headset I can borrow for a while. Check back in 10-15 minutes for the pictures. Third party from Amazon. Look up AudioDeluxe, they have some nice reviews. Check back in 10-15 minutes for the pictures. I couldn't find their email support, but I'm returning them. Could use the extra money for now.
  4. I knew I should of bought new, but I wanted to save the $60. Never again. Thanks, man.
  5. All the other headsets I use sound fine, just these ones. It could be a possibility that they're fake, although their Amazon has 4.9 star rating with over 1.3k votes. I would more than likely bet they're not fake. I don't think they would risk their reputation. I've been having some bad luck lately, so it's possible, haha. As mentioned before, I don't think they would risk their reputation on Amazon for a couple extra bucks. (although sending back fakes sounds like something that would happen ) I am leaning more towards the refurbishment being the cause.
  6. So I purchased Beyerdynamic's DT 770 Pro 250 ohms. Professional headphones (arguably), $170-ish (refurbished); should be godly, right? Unfortunately, that wasn't quite the case. There is little to no bass, and the audio itself sounds atrocious. Apple headphones sound better. The only bonus so far is that they are the most comfortable things I have ever put on my head. So I need help determining the problem so I don't have to return them, because I really want to like them. One problem that could be the cause: they're refurbished. Could be possible that whatever problems it had previously are back. The second possible issue is that I'm using the 3.5mm jack, rather than 6.3mm (6.3 screws off). My computer/sound card does not have the right size jack. Things I've tried: So I messed with the different sound levels and it made the sound bearable, although some parts of songs did a volume dip, which is rather annoying. I also plugged in my crappy $40 sound card, hoping that by some miracle it would help. It did not. It made it worse. I'm also going to contact them directly soon and see if they can determine the problem. Thanks in advance!
  7. In a well-built headset, I assume that the wire is the most likely item to break.
  8. Good advice, thank you. But the only thing I don't like with these is the wire. Unlike the headset I mentioned, it doesn't look like it has a removable cable. Which isn't a big issue, but an issue nevertheless. Is that replaceable also, do you know?
  9. I do like the sound of the surround sound, since I've never had any experience with it. But, because they're cheap, they probably won't be too good with loud music. Or they're break over time (a lot quicker than something that's a bit more expensive). Also, those are more tuned for gaming, which I don't do as much as I'd like. Oh man, that's a very good looking headset (based on reviews). I'm actually highly considering them. Would you recommend at a sound card with this? If so, which one?
  10. Interested in a headset that is amazing with everything I throw at it. Somethings I'm looking for: - No crackling when playing sounds at a loud volume - No microphone - Excellent game, movie and music audio quality - Good bass - Durable, long lasting - Comfortable, not too heavy - Noise canceling would be nice - No one can hear what I'm hearing while it's on - Over-ear, not on-ear - Preferably less than $200, but not a requirement I'm currently looking at Audio-Technica ATH-M50x Professional Headphones (Amazon) for $169. The reviews are decent as well, with most rating it at 5-stars. Got any suggestions? (Personal experience would be much appreciated!)
  11. Yeah, I tried that before. It actually made it kind of worse. I heard the 7.1 adapter fixes the problem, but if I wanted to shell out an extra $20-30, I would've gotten the G430s.
  12. Hmm, that didn't help at all although it helped me learn some things. For example, there's background noise only at 96000 Hz and up. Anything lower than that, my voice sounds like it's from a laptop microphone. edit: at 10 dB boost, there's very little background noise but I'm still too quiet for my liking. At 20 dB boost, my voice volume is perfect but the background noise got louder as well.
  13. So my G230's have come in yesterday and they're awesome, so far. The only problem I have is the microphone is really quiet. I can make them louder using microphone boost, although there would be an annoying background noise. (Uploaded the background noise as a file attachment.) -I'm using the on-audio driver (Realtek HD Audio) -Tried it on an Asus Xonar DGX sound card, same problem. -Tried it on my laptop, same problem -Tried the front port, same problem -Tried 2 channel, 16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality) all the way to 192000 Hz (Studio Quality) -Contacted Logitech and no response as of yet -All drivers are up-to-date -Used Audacity, Skype, and 'Listen to this device', so it's not software. -The background noise doesn't cut off when I talk I don't want to return a second headset so hopefully one of you kind people know the solution. background noise.wav
  14. Yeah, I did a calculator too and got 630 min, 680 max (overclocked). I have no idea how I got 900+ last time. Thank you for trying to help and all, and I understand why I should get a lower wattage one, but I'm stuck on 1200w. It's one of things I'm stubborn about.
