  1. I haven't watched any LTT videos for hardware reviews in years (and this is my first post on the forum in quite some time too, hello!) so I'm probably not the main audience being catered to here. I have long considered Linus to be the head of an entertainment and 'first tech contact' company, not a genuine reviewing entity. I remember coming across the solid copper cooler video (I'm a sucker for custom loops so these get recommended a lot), but then watching the video and being extremely confused as to why they expected anything other than horrible performance on a card that the prototype wasn't designed for. In a world where an extra 0.5mm on thermal pad thickness can totally wreck temperatures on a block designed for the actual product you are using, I can't see any level of professionalism or experience that allows this to happen. If the excuse is to not waste a few hundred dollars, it feels like the appropriate action would have been to decline accepting a prototype for a product you don't have on hand before agreeing to script and shoot a video (with now using time afterwards cleaning up the mess). And then to find out that, somehow, after multiple rounds of emails asking for it back the prototype was still auctioned away is incredibly disappointing. Even if monetary restitution has been done, that amount of lost time and resources for a small company sucks. Slow down. Do better.
  2. As someone that works for Microcenter, this mentality is absolutely fucking insane to me. Why are you getting mad at us for having cards in stock?
  3. Until I don't have to sign up for an account on a fresh copy of W11Home, I will stay on 10.
  4. I sometimes feel like the only person in the universe that doesn't care about the TPM requirement and have far greater concerns about the MS account requirement. I refuse to upgrade until that completely arbitrary bullshit is removed, and it will eventually be. At least TPM does something even if it isn't perfect. Edit: Seems Pro has already removed the account requirement. Bleh.
  5. ....not news? some schmuck making a render on the internet
  6. I'm usually not a fan of decisions to remove features or accessories from next gen phones (fuck you I want my easy access headphones back), but chargers I'm actually okay with. If anything, I'm glad they aren't. I already have enough high power type C chargers from previous phones and I don't need any more and always feel guilty throwing them in a drawer or tossing them out. I probably have two chargers for every pi4 I own at this point....please, no more if I don't ask for one.
  7. Well, we'll see what happens. EA has supposdely denied this. https://apptrigger.com/2021/07/03/ea-games-advertising/ https://www.pcgamer.com/this-company-is-putting-video-ads-in-games-and-ea-has-already-signed-up/
  8. Care to find the MS-4462 in stock for a Z490 Unify? Ava direct has one but charges $50 for shipping.
  9. TPM 2.0 modules already spiked over $100 on 3rd party sites and is sold out on MSI direct. 20 decade turning out to be great for pc hardware.
  10. So I've given up on trying to get this to work on my own. After contacting Corsair and them writing a troubleshooting firmware to no avail, I turn to you, oh great internet. I use SL-OBS to record/stream gameplay. I downscale my 4k playing resolution to 1080p to stream. In recordings, stream footage, and even the preview window in slobs footage from the capture card is always stuttering. Not the overlays...just the video from the elgato. Doesn't matter if the output resolution on the gaming computer is set to 4k30, 4k60, 4k120, 1080p60, or 1080p120. I've tried moving the capture card from the bottom x4 pcie slot (no m.2 in the system so it doesn't matter, but I'm desperate) to the 2nd full length slot (x8 when sharing with GPU) with no change. I can, however, force it to work properly by getting rid of my monitor entirely and only having the elgato hooked up to the 3090. This is obviously not ideal. To me, this seems like an Nvidia driver/Windows issue? But I can't seem to find too many people with the same issue unless I go back several years to a very old Nvidia forum thread. And if it is.....there's basically no chance it will ever be fixed. Any ideas? 11. Registering some 3090s at EVGA...anyone have a rewards program code they want me to use?

  12. Bumping this as it starts today. Good luck everyone!
  13. All of BTS or just one of them? I feel like they are probably pretty busy these days.
  14. Yes, you do have to provide proof of retail employment.
  15. Indeed. I already have three 9900k systems from IREP but I guess it might be time to shut one (or two) of them down.
  16. Good. Need to start fixing the crap he ruined coming into office. Internet speeds have stopped increasing and, at least anecdotaly for me, decreased in reliability the last 2 years or so. Competition is good. Bribery is bad.
  17. be safe out there. snowstorm is deadly.

  18. I'll chip in an April 22, 2025 Edit: At 3:15pm
  19. Not too surprising from Adata. Really, most companies are pretty scummy these days when they know they can get away with it.
  20. Hoo boyo. Seems like Intel is getting a bit worried with how awesome these prices are this time around. Intel will be holding their holiday processor deal starting DECEMBER 9th this year. On offer are, finally, tenth gen chips! And for pretty awesome prices. As always, make sure your retail verifcation is up to date before oofing into that wall on launch day. Good luck! Edit: DEAL IS LIVE! https://retailedge.intel.com/50/asmo/thedeal
