So I've given up on trying to get this to work on my own. After contacting Corsair and them writing a troubleshooting firmware to no avail, I turn to you, oh great internet.
I use SL-OBS to record/stream gameplay. I downscale my 4k playing resolution to 1080p to stream. In recordings, stream footage, and even the preview window in slobs footage from the capture card is always stuttering. Not the overlays...just the video from the elgato. Doesn't matter if the output resolution on the gaming computer is set to 4k30, 4k60, 4k120, 1080p60, or 1080p120. I've tried moving the capture card from the bottom x4 pcie slot (no m.2 in the system so it doesn't matter, but I'm desperate) to the 2nd full length slot (x8 when sharing with GPU) with no change.
I can, however, force it to work properly by getting rid of my monitor entirely and only having the elgato hooked up to the 3090. This is obviously not ideal. To me, this seems like an Nvidia driver/Windows issue? But I can't seem to find too many people with the same issue unless I go back several years to a very old Nvidia forum thread. And if it is.....there's basically no chance it will ever be fixed. Any ideas?
