Okay I can definitely see now why people want 144hz monitors so bad. I just "overclocked" my Samsung 1080p panel to 75hz from 60hz and damn just that little bit makes a very noticeable difference. After two hours of gameplay I switched back to 60hz and holy shit it looked so choppy. It's like going down to 45 fps when I was used to 60.

you have the greatest eyes ever i can barley tell a different by just looking at 60/144 but can feel the difference

You can notice the difference in faster moving games for sure. Slower games dont make much of a difference, but E-Sport games and FPS's benefit significantly. (Glory be to 144hz)

Even the difference between 120hz and 144hz is noticeable to me

@Vernw3Which is funny to me since I'm told my eyes suck. xD

@TVwazhere Even in Minecraft it was a pretty huge difference to me. It's not like the 15hz difference will actually make me play better in any games, but man does it look nice.

Just to be sure I wasn't crazy I had my brother randomly switch between 45/60/75 randomly and I was able to identify which framerate was what every time with no errors. And even though he isn't really a computer guy he was able to identify each as well. It's just crazy, 60 FPS has always seemed so buttery smooth to me but now it's not. Now I'm really curious to see a 144hz monitor in person.
