Ehh, not going to knock anyone simply owing to lack of technical knowledge. I recently helped one guy who's been shooting video for years with the bit rate setting on his camcorders. Though, he did most of his shooting during a time when tape was state of the art, and he likely knows a lot more about tape than I do.

Interesting point. However, I specifically waited for the Z490 chipset to come out in order to have integrated GPU support for DP1.4 (basically, being able to have video if I don't have a GPU for whatever reason). (Edit: I just read through Intel ARK, and see that there is support for DP1.4, but not for 5K resolutions with onboard graphics.)
 
Furthermore, the manual of the motherboard specifies under "Onboard graphics" (page 10 in this PDF file) through Thunderbolt a max resolution of 5120x2880@60Hz with 24bpp. Perhaps the 24bpp is the hicup.
When using the onboard HDMI port (which is the only way to output video other than TB3 on this Motherboard), the maximum resolution is 4K@30Hz. But I'm not using this.
 
I will try to dig a bit regarding the onboard graphics. I have an i9-10900 (non K due to availability at the time) in there.

Lol, reminds me of the almost monthly issue I had with my paypal payment that lasted about 6 months or so. Lol, I felt really bad for @colonel_mortis but he did his best to resolve the issue, then I became a mod some time later. I think there was a short lived joke that I made a mod just so I didn't have to continue having the issue and pestering Mortis every month.Lol.

I have joined the movement and want to support LMG by watching their videos on Vessel. I assumed that it being a paid service, there would not be ads.
 
But I just got an ad on Vessel, why? Maybe I was misinformed, but isn't the idea of Vessel being paid, that it has no ads?
 
II might aswell go back to watching on Youtube and forgetting Vessel.
 
And BTW, Vessel is crap when on low bandwidth (while youtube works fine).

Try running it off of onboard graphics from the motherboard.

They'd do something shit like add TouchWiz to a chipset or some shit like that.

moving a file (within the same partition) will just change the pointer to the file location of the data. It does not physically move the bits to another place unless it is a different partition.
this is pretty much instant
 
copying a file will actually duplicate all the bits to a SECOND location, while also creating a separate pointer to the new file.
this will be limited to the write speed of the drive the file is being copied to, aka not as fast

But the simple fact ramains that if everyone blocked the ads in my content Linus Tech Tips wouldn't exist. Period.
 
Those suggesting that I complain to Google... Do you think I can just call up Eric Schmidt and let him know I don't like the way they implement ads on YouTube? I laughed out loud.
 
YouTube isn't perfect but it's my best shot at running a viable business here so I can pay my employees and feed my family, so that's what I use. Those of you who opt to consume the content without supporting it, fine you're not "scummy". Come up with your own word for it

I think Greenlight can be revised by just getting rid of the "Early Access" concept but I hear Valve is going to do away with it in the near future.
 
One idea to save Early Access concept would be to turn Early Access into Open Beta and don't charge money for it.
