Unfortunately the people who 'run' Australia (ie. idiots who only care about their next pay-rise and obscene pension) follow the examples of other countries like lemmings, the idea may be bad but they jump off the cliff anyway.

As some of you may know, Australia is pushing to put forward a meta data harvesting program in which ISP are required to keep a customers Meta Data for at least 2 years. This is an extremely scary prospect and is worth scrutinising the entire way.

This article basically outlines some new details of the program that have come to light.

    Major changes being made:

400 million dollars per year. ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS!!!
For a country as small as ours that is an obscene amount of money for a system that has been proven NOT TO WORK in multiple countries around the world.

Yeah... Incompatibility with the right to privacy sure is right. But then again, its not like Australia hasn't been snooping in everything they can for ever. They didn't allow digital mobile phones into the country until they could crack the encryption...

It seems to me like the whole data hoarding thing is completely silly, and by the looks of it, Australia is just jumping onto the bandwagon in time for all of the reports of how ineffective it is everywhere else in the world.

Yet again, Australia looks like they will be spending a ludicrous amount of money in the name of "national Security" a seemingly pointless black hole for taxpayer dollars. They are willing to spend billions on Jets, and Submarines that will likely be rendered useless in a couple of years, but they don't think they should spend money on Education. What a bunch of old hags.

Actually because Aussie laws are so fucked up, they have ALL of the meta data info on you. And they are legally obliged to keep it for 2 FUCKING YEARS.

This whole thing is sketch as balls, I might become a politician and shove it in their arses because the current pollies here are a bunch of useless old hags, who don't understand how technology works and how it is good for the fucking economy.

*ahem* They can go and get fucked. And so can those who say high internet speeds encourage piracy. We've got shitty internet nearly everywhere and it doesn't stop people. (Shitty includes deliberate blackspots made by telstra to force people to get reamed up the ass for shit mobile internet)

You don't have control over what core you're getting.
To see which core is currently running you'll need to go into advanced control (taskbar, right click on F@H and then advanced control)
Then you want to click on the gpu slot and you'll see FahCore 0x17 or 0x15 (or 0x18)
17 or 18 are the ones you want as those are generally the ones that utilise the gpu the best, 15 is outdated and less efficient (iirc).

I don't see anything wrong or annoying or insulting about it. The team may not have time to edit the videos, and this way, he gives viewers a reason to subscribe, increasing his viewer base, and consequently increasing the amount of money LMG gets from YouTube from those viewers watching more of their videos.

It isn't good neither for them and neither for consumers.

They will sell the old chips for lower price, so basically they didn't come up with anyhting new and are stuck with old technology.

Consumers maybe gets the same performance for lower price but again, they will be stuck with the same (few years old) performance for quite a lot (till they release a new gen).

I think that this way they are slowing their technological progress. I would really like to see AMD make some really good stuffs that you be even to Intel's and again make them fight who can make a better thing which will also contribute to faster progress and consumers may benefit from this.

I don't know much about the Intel, but AMD seems like they are using still the same chips for years (CPU and GPU) which isn't really good for them, they have to come up with something new and really good.
