  1. Hmmm If i had a x99 system i would never leave my room again as theres so much it could be used for lol. my friend wouldnt be able to brag about his x99 pc that he bought for game development.
  2. Some comma's and stuff would have been nice. As far as i see it on console developers are gauranteed an audience, they are paid to develop the game before its released as they have publishers to back them up. this is a double edged sword as it also leaves em to neglect other platforms and rush products because of deadlines. the ease of use and less ardious optimization process are an attractive concept as you dont have to work as hard (dont have to make texture that aremuch better than what the consoles can handle for exclusive and you can be half assed on multiplats) and have a safety net. its harder to pirate console games and you have a gaurantee your game will work and still besellable 5-7 years down the line and be just as playable as when it was new.
  3. Hey guys, new poster here. So I've built my 1st pc in the past few months but am having a bit of trouble with my wireless adapter. It works properly but only when the Igpu on my pentium G3258 is used as the main display driver in lieu of my r9270X. I think the issue might be that the GPU is taking power from the pci slot when idle (as soon as the screen turns off the adapter will start functioning properly) and the adapter isnt left with enough to function correctly. Heres a quick parts list to see if it raises any red flags. Mobo: Asrock Z97 Extreme 4 CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 OC to 3.8ghz Graphics card: Gigabyte windforce R9 270x using a single 8 pin to dual 6+2 pin for power. Storage: 512GB Crucial MX100 and a WD Green 1TB Ram: Corsair Vengeance low profile 1X8GB CL10 1600Mhz Case: Nzxt phantom 410 PSU: Corsair CS750 Everything is plugged in correctly but im not sure what can be done to fix this if something needs fixing. Any advice would be greatly appriciated. Edit: Forgot to add the wireless adapter........ its a Tp link wdn 3800
  4. Well im not exactly a fan of zotac ( not heard much about them before as im new to this) but those cards do look great and I love how carbon fiber stuff looks in general (its a shame those led's arent rgb as they only have red/green and my build follows a blue/black theme).
  5. wish i had done more on forums (not really a forum guy personally)..... dat asus notebook ill never win (sigh)........ anyway, great content, amazing community and stuff, stuff, stuff (i suck at thinking of stuff to say)
  6. My favourite thing about the Z2........ i cant truly tell you untill i have one but it would be its Ips display or just some ridulously simple feature like the 30% more gen it has. The favourite thing about dbrand is the fact they give an elegant solution to making your phone more personal without adding a bulky, stupid, barely function case (unless the case is also a wallet.....).
  7. Well not sure exactly what to say but i will keep this simple. I need a graphics card and my friend needs a psu so this givaway is something of great use to me. I have been a viewer of both channels for best part of a year now and have enjoyed learning more about technology while i scape together some cash for a pc. My favourite techquickie was this one about antialiasing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqi0114mwtY&list=TLoC3Domg7z3NHBWPEDadrbtQA-fUMyChB as it helped me figure out what was causing my laptop to struggle with metro last light and the jayz2cent video is about an nvidia 750ti https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxUsGZedLSQ&list=UUkWQ0gDrqOCarmUKmppD7GQ&index=85 as it shows what a tiny card can do.
  8. I will put a TLDR at the bottom.... There are a great deal of things i like about this notebook, an ips display is something all notebooks should have as having more comfortable viewing angles on a portable device is important, the fact it has a dvd drive which to most isnt any kind of deal and to others maybe disappointing because it isnt a blue ray drive instead, this would make an excellent replacement to my current notebook, which does not feature a dvd or a blue ray drive which would be nice to have. moving on it looks fantastic and red and black is my favourite colour scheme and the backlit keyboard is amazing, the gpu is maxwell based and i really like how well it performs despite the ddr3 ram, (i looked some benchmarks and found that the 850m with ddr3 does well so long as you dont turn up all the settings as the lack of gddr5 holds it back.) i like the smaller form factor as it would fit in my work bag for the slow saturdays in work in which i sit around for a good few hours twiddling my thumbs, (my current notebook doesnt fit in my bag). I cannot particularly say much about the cpu as it is a 4th gen haswell one and i know nothing about them, this notebook has been on top of a mountain and thats pretty cool.....(im sorry about the pun) and it while it wasnt desgined to win any awards or set any world records it has helped you guys achieve just that. i like that this notebook is a very collectable piece of tech and has room for a ram upgrade. but my favourite thing is that it is well balanced, the cpu isnt too powerful for the purpose, the screen is reasonably good for resolution and great for being ips, the gpu was chosen for it because it can perform quite well but not max out settings or really provide significantly faster framerates than the screen can handle. TLDR This notebook is well balenced and well suited for many tasks. My favourite thing is that it is a collectable piece of tech that has helped you guys achieve a world record, if that doesnt count then its just how well balanced the notebook is and if that doesnt count its the ips display, and in a close second to that is the backlit keyboard.
