TheGuyNL reacted to eLucid in What ultrawide monitor to buy? Advise wanted
The dell u3417w has no reported issues with QC nor BL bleed. Speaking from experience here, dell's are typically the best with regards to quality control. In fact, besides being factory calibrated out of the box, that's one of their main selling points.

You should note; the u3415w (older model with a shallower curve) had some reported issues with glow around the edges. That has since been fixed the their latest model though.

I can't speak for LG panels. Also, whether people would like to admit or not: ASUS is well known for having poor QC standards.

Thanks for your reply! I have been looking at the u3415w and read about the background bleed. I was unaware of the newer model (17w) but it looks like that is a monitor that matches my requirements.

I am used to Sublime, have used it for a very long time but just recently VS code had become really good. It's already much better than Atom!

Use Acronis. You can make a bootable usb drive with it and save\restore images with it, without having a real working os.

I missed that! Might actually be a faulty motherboard then.

Also important: did you try another wall socket? Might be drawing too much current from the wall and your PC gets low on power. If you have your monitor(s) and desktop in the same socket, try to plug them in separate ones and see if that helps.

Netflix has to abide by the content licensing deals it has, and not all content is available everywhere because of the networks and studios who own it. Its why Netflix Canada has less, because the studios that own the content don't want that content up there.
Netflix can't do anything about it.

As indicated below, the specs and 3dmark 11 score

The GeForce GTX 960 scores P9960 and X3321 points in 3DMark 11, 6636 points in 3DMark Fire Strike, 3438 points in 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme as well as 1087 points in 3DMark Fire Strike Ultra, according to PCEva.com.cn. If the numbers are correct, then the GeForce GTX 960 will offer performance – at least in 3DMark benchmarks – comparable to that of the GeForce GTX 680 and the GeForce GTX 770.

This should put it between the 770-780 range of performance while keeping at a comparable price with the 280/285 (~210$US market price).
