  1. I've seen the video and its not worth it (in my case at least). My hdd is almost full. I'll see if i can do something when i buy the second storage drive or if there is a solution somewhere in Intel's rapid storage technology.
  2. I think optane works only on your primary/os drive. (also i have a Z170 mobo so optane is a double no)
  3. The ssd is the main (boot) drive. The hdd is a secondary drive used for storage. I'm looking for a way to speed up my storage hdd.
  4. Is there a way to speed up a storage HDD? I have a SSD as my main drive and a 3tb HDD as secondary/storage. As the drive is getting fuller, it gets slower. I'm planning on buying another one soon but is there a way to increase its performance (like Intel RST, though optane memory does not work for secondary drives) ?
  5. Thanks for the guide (bookmarked)!.It seems that the problem is latency related...After uninstalling some unnecessary software (system monitoring) the problem seems to be solved. But i still get somewhat high latency from DPC Latency (around 1000-max 2200) but with latency mon i get from 50 to 150 (max 407).What should i do?
  6. (I feel stupid now) isn't there a way to fix it other than buying an amp/dac? I thought my mo/bos amp was sufficient for the DT 770
  7. I recently upgraded my headset from a 20$ crappy one to the DT 770 Pro 80 Ohms.I installed them to my mo/bos back panel ( Maximus Viii Hero) and when i watch videos on youtube or movies i hear every now and then a popping/cracking sound.I changed the input and put them in the front panel port (they were recognized as high impedance headphones by realtek's software) but they continue to do these sounds.I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest audio software from asus website and the problem seemed to be solved. It seems that the headphones work perfect for some time after a reboot but after some time they do this popping/cracking sound. Do anyone knows whats going on or how to fix it?
  8. Turns out my Tv monitor had kept the settings it used when i had my ps3 connected.... Changed it to pc mode and everything looks perfect! Thank you!
  9. I recently upgraded to windows 10 and i am facing some problems: 1)Everything seems blurry. The text , the icons ,everything.I have tried changing the dpi scaling ect but nothing seems to work. 2)I cant even run my screen's native resolution properly! I had to adjust desktop size from 1920x1080 to 1842x1036 to fit my screen properly via nvidia drivers and when i change my resolution to1920x1080 either with the nvidia drivers or windows 10 settings everything seems worse than before! (text looks awful and in general everything looks like shit). Does anyone know if it is microsoft or nvidia to blame? Any solutions to make windows 10 look crystal clear like windows 7?
  10. is it that bad? (I think the power consumption of my system is around 400w) Which one do you suggest? (for later upgrade)
  11. i sent a email to the store i bought it. They have a 7 days return to faulty products
  12. Corsair cx500 (i have a gtx 960 installed. the explosion happened when the system was idle-updating chrome)
