If reinstalling flash doesn't work try disabling hardware acceleration. Right click on the video > settings > first tab > uncheck "enable hardware acceleration".

If you are not familiar with linux then a good option would be Xubuntu. It is based on ubuntu which is very easy to set up and use. It uses XFCE which is a fairly simple lightweight desktop environment which will work just fine with browsers such as firefox. I ran Xubuntu on an old laptop with similar specs and it ran just fine. :) -
Its a top of the range toaster which can easily reach 120 tps (toast per second) in most games. :)

On the Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 the BIOS key is the delete key not F8. -
