  1. So I'm running an i5 3570k at 4.4ghz and a 780ti at 1150mhz, could I play games like Elite Dangerous, and Raw Data on the HTC Vive?
  2. When the 980 came out, the 780ti was pretty close to it, close enough to not warrent using step up... Well now it's comparable to the 970, soooo go with the 1070 it will have better driver support.
  3. I mean, it will work pretty well, but in CPU bound games it will bottleneck pretty hard.
  4. Probably Rx 480. While the 1060 is slightly faster rn, it is also slightly more expensive. AMD also has a track record of supporting their cards for longer than Nvidia meaning the 480 will be better than the 1060 in a couple years. Just my thoughts.
  5. So, I have 2500 dollars for a new tower. I already have all of the peripherals (Monitors, keyboard, mouse, headphones, ect.) What should I get? Edit: I'm running an ROG Swift 144hz 1440p monitor, and I'm planning on getting an HTC Vive in February
  6. So right now I've got this http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/2V9ZGX with my CPU running at 4.4ghz. Now, I'm not entirely sure what I should do, because I'm going off to college next year and I want to get a new PC before I go off and am broke. I'm looking at a GTX 1080, and the system I'm planning on building could be mine by december. However, I could just get the GTX 1080 now, put it in my current rig and then when I get the new PC take it out, and put it into the new one... But then if they come out with a 1080ti or Vega blows out the 1080, I'm left sad and crying. Which would you recommend?
  7. Pros and cons? There is literally no reason to get a 980ti unless you get a smoking hot deal. The 1070 performs equally, and is generally cheaper, and will have better driver support moving forward.
  8. Considering I'm on a relatively old socket, I'd need a new build. So I should do that?
  9. I'm EVGA simply because I have horrible luck in terms of hardware, and from what I hear ASUS customer support is terrible, and in my experience EVGA is very good. Also, if I find the 1070 not to be enough I can use step up
  10. Would it be good for HTC Vive in future games that come to it like Fallout 4? Or would I need a 1080 for that?
  11. So for this build http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/h7kRYJ would I be better off with a GTX 1070 or 1080, I'm running an ROG Swift but I'm more than happy with 60fps. Additionally I am planning on getting an HTC vive, would I be better off just saving until November and getting a new PC altogether? Or would this build suffice. My 3570k is at 4.4ghz.
  12. You mean sidegraded? Those cards perform like... the same...
  13. Soooo, I have a GTX 780ti and I want to get an HTC Vive. Obviously, a 780ti isn't good enough to handle that very well, so I was planning on upgrading to a 1080. Is this jump worth the price? Also, is the rest of my PC able to handle VR? I have 16GB 1600mhz DDR3 RAM i5 3570k @ 4.4ghz 480gb SSDx2 3TB WD Green Drive (Not for games)
