  1. I have recently aquired a machine with a bit of an odd issue. First I could not get the machine to post as the gpu was basically a paperweight. After replacing it, the machine seemed to boot, even if it was not happy such as the dram light staying on ( usually a quick hit of the mem ok button and we were back in buisness). Now it seems that the machine no matter what i have done will not stay running and will either hang forcing me to do a hard shutdown and reboot, or the screen would blank out wether I had a game running or not and most of the time come back. the machine will also occasionally freeze in bios but it only has done that twice in my posession. mobo: ASUS Crosshair v Formula ram: 4gb Corsair vengance ram Storage: 500gb PNY ssd and 500 HDD GPU: Amd radeon 6950 (non overclocked) Cpu: AMD FX 8310 (4C/8T) PSU: OCZ ZT Series 750w What ive done thus far... -Reseated everything in the motherboard including unhooking all of the LED fans in the case just to make sure I wasn't tripping the PSU rails. -Swapped memory slots (waiting for a new set to come in soon to change it out), adjusted the ram speed and even tried letting the bios figure out what to do with trying to leave settings on auto -Underclocking the CPU, and also undervolting, to see if maybe heat was playing an issue. -swapping PSU slots for the GPU AUX Power - updating to the latest bios that the motherboard has available -I even gave a fresh install of windows, with nothing but drivers and a few programs for benchmarking the system (Prine95, furmark) Aside from the issues listed the computer will run and perform great, even if it does sound like a jet engine with the original fans in there
  2. Well after doing something testing I’ve notice that opening the slider makes it glitch out the screen more so the screen cable may be messed up but I dont gave a heat source now a set of jeweler screw drivers to get into the device to reseat the cable, I also noticed that the screen would blank out on first boot if the phone isn’t coming from being shut down or restarting but after that it would work fine. Would that be linked to this as well
  3. Transfer the library, saves are synced on steam through cloud save
  4. Could be needing a graphics driver, try installing that into the os and see if maybe that might be the culprit
  5. Try running a command prompt under administrator (open task manager and click new then run and type in taskmgr and make sure the run as admin box is checked) once come comes up just run “chkdsk /f c:/“ without quotes and it should ask to schedule the chkdsk the computer comes up restart the computer and let it do its thing (will take a while) mine took a while to do when I had windows 8
  6. I do apologize if this isn’t the right place to post this but I’m all out of options, I’ve been using my backup phone to shoot some 4K video when I realized the screen was just going wild, I’ve tried resetting the phone... nothing, running the battery dead and letting if it charge back up... nada. I even went out to slide it up and down a few times and nada. The only thing that remotely helped was having it on the charger. But the issue is the entire screen works and touches like a normal phone it’s just the image is wonky on exactly the right half of the screen Angry priv screen link
  7. I would look around on sites like Craigslist, ebay and other local sites that would be listing computer hardware for a good price, also it's good to check auctions on ebay as you can find good cards on there for a great price. Also for the person who shared this video, props to you! i love this youtube channel
  8. I would run something like Hiren's boot cd off of a CD or usb thumb drive to and load into minixp where you can run a surface scan and see if your drive is in fact dying. Other ways to tell if your drive could be dying may also be... -Slower than usual file transfers (like hours to transfers pictures) -Clicking or grinding noises coming from the disk itself -Some files are broken as in a picture you drew in paint no longer opens Also a side note, sometimes in hirens the drive from your pc doesnt show up, so you'll have to mount the drives which should be a shortcut in the start menu if i remember correctly
  9. It might be a few months before Intel drops a graphics driver on their site for seventh generation chips
  10. As of right now i don't see a download from Intel's website unfortunately. I'll keep looking around and see if i see any. Right now your best bet is windows update to see if you can get the drivers from microsoft
  11. Lemme see if I can find the right ones, sorry about that!
  12. It helps to close all the apps you're not using when the phone is off, i have that problem with my phone and using snapchat where it will pull more power then the charger can supply, if no apps is running my list of guesses would be... -Battery needs to be replaced -Charging port could be getting ready to die -That version of android could be just draining the battery
  13. What you'll need to do if you don't wanna take your discrete GPU out of your case is install them manually. Link from intel how to do so ( http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html ) Link for the zip file of your driver ( https://downloadmirror.intel.com/26404/eng/win64_154510.4542.zip ) Hopefully this works for you! *note* That's the driver for Kaby Lake CPU's, if i grabbed the wrong one i'll try and give you the link to the right one!
  14. I already have a new phone, i'm just wanting to get all the info off the old one
  15. Hey guys, so my galaxy s2 broke a while back and i was wondering if there was any kind of hope of getting any of my old data off of there. The phone is rooted, but usb debugging is not turned on, the screen is completely black and doesnt show anything, i can tell the phone is working however from the speaker because it's making the noises it would for notifications. Willing to try anything, all i want is the data off my phone. Thanks in advance guys!
  16. While us gamers, myself included, Love to upgrade our machines when a new processor, graphics card, or other component hits the market. It's fun to step back and see the people who have yet to upgrade they're machines, and these machines are doing jobs such as maintaining nuclear systems, and even being used to heat and cool a high school. Even servers shouldn't last this long! http://www.techrepublic.com/pictures/the-antique-computers-that-just-wont-quit/?ftag=ACQ0569dee&vndid=1856139923&ttag=tr-fb-339&nan_pid=1856139923 Figured I would post this because it's really neat to see just what some companies, and some people still have running. Also if you have an old pc that you have running, feel free to tell me here, and post pictures
  17. The new blade, would be awesome. A power house laptop that can handle about anything you throw at it. Yes please
  18. Good morning, afternoon, evening, and night for whomever reads this in advance. Anyhow on to the help I ask from you guys, I want to make something cool for my girlfriend for her birthday and I wanted to get some people saying happy birthday to her (messages, pictures, videos) and i was going to add everything you guys send into a YouTube video since im about four hundred miles away. Any and all help is super welcome. She's been putting up with me for over a year now lol so im doing something right. PS, sorry in advance mods if this shouldn't be here. Sorry if I misspelled words phone screens are a mess to type on
  19. Unless the processor is 64bit compatible it wont work, easiest thing to do is check in the system page if you're using anything like windows vista and up. Or if not look up the processor online and it should say so
  20. No I only linked the apps so if people wanted to download it they can. No trolling here
  21. I was meaning my reply to be purely entertaining. DDos'ing is a serious issue that happens to many people (myself included) but i try to lighten the mood. It's nothing against you also, i just wanted to clearify before the whole wave of comments comes in repeating what you said there.
  22. Being a beta tester for the beloved application Pokemon Go, Jonathan Zarra decided to make an application to add a feature that the game did not have inside of it! GoChat was released July fourth, a day before Pokemon Go was released, and decided to post it on reddit where it in turn got downloaded ten thousand times. Zerra noted "Chat would be a critical tool to have inside of a location based game." Within five days however the app is approaching the million users mark and the app servers taking 600 requests per second and the cost of the app's upkeep may drive the man into being bankrupt. The servers were hit so hard that user most of the morning time could not register for new accounts and if you logged in loading a message would just make the app crash. As of monday an estimated 7.5 million people downloaded the Pokemon Go app suggesting atleast a third had downloaded the chat app to go along with the game. ^Screenshots of the application! (Courtesy of The Verge) Zarra resists adding ads into the app saying "I hate ads"(Thank you kind sir!) and avoids adding a price on the app in fear of attracting legal action from the Pokemon Go team. The cost for new servers to keep the chat app going is estimated to be around 4 thousand dollars, and the creator of the chat app also brought in a contractor to help keep the servers going and help keep the timeouts and server downtime as small as possible. Zarra however is super excited about the outcome of the app saying "he has never built a mobile app before the GoChat application". The application is so helpful that one user messaged Zarra saying he had met a girl through the app and was planning on taking her on a date. While Zarra may be struggling with the financials for the GoChat application, his biggest concern is getting the servers back online. Want to download the application, links are posted here Ios: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/chat-for-pokemon-go-gochat/id1129553203?mt=8&ref=producthunt Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.parse.gochat&hl=en Source 1: http://www.theverge.com/2016/7/11/12153370/gochat-pokemon-go-chat-app-jonathan-zarra-interview **Will update the story with information from other sources when another one becomes available**
  23. It's surprising to see the lengths that criminals will go to just to rob someone or commit a crime. I myself catch a lot of Pokemon GO players because people think my yard is a road thanks gps
  24. So in the wake of Pokemon GO's success, armed robbers in Missouri are now using the app to target victims. The Verge reports that the robbers would use the app to lure unsuspecting people in and rob them at gun point by placing a beacon from within the app. The O'Fallen Missouri Police Department has made a statement on facebook about the whole ordeal. The culprits were able to rob four people all in the age range of 16-18 years of age, and warned people to exercise extreme caution when your giving out personal information or going out. The robberies happened at 2 o'clock at night making their car, a black BMW, very hard to spot. Thankfully the handgun was recovered and the Culprits arrested. The adult suspects were charged with first degree robbery, a felony, and had bond set at $100,000 cash, Stringer said. To everyone who uses the app and in general, please be safe!
