You need to install the network driver(ethernet), you can find it on Asus's website under your motherboards page(I can give you the link if needed).

scroll down to FAQ and click on the FAQ drop down, then click on Drivers & Tools and Choose your OS. Navigate to LAN and download the Intel® Gigabit Ehternet Driver. You might need to download this from another computer unless if you download it over WiFi.
