Advice on M.2 + PCIe adapter card

It's an Asus X99 A II. The manual says the M.2 slot "supports PCIe storage device only".

    Is this PC any good?

    you're disproving your own point here 2600 trades blows with a 9400f and 8400, not a 8100

Awesome multi-purpose language: Racket. Racket is "a Lisp" (actually, a Scheme dialect) with an enormous standard library, including a web server and a GUI framework. Swift was inspired by some of Lisp's features. One could argue whether Common Lisp or Scheme are a better Lisp, but I find Racket to be more friendly to use. ------------------------------------------ Awesome math language: APL. That does not fit nicely after the ones you listed (in fact, neither HTML nor CSS are programming languages), but it is a good alternative to R which was suggested by @Firewrath9 and it even interacts with the .NET framework if you choose Dyalog APL (free for personal use). However, note that math-oriented languages are an... acquired taste. ------------------------------------------ Awesome web language: C. If what Racket provides does not match your needs, C could be a good alternative. It is a great language for server-side applications, widely supported, very fast and very small. Emitting HTML, CSS and JavaScript only takes one command - and you can even embed a database.

    Is this PC any good?

Yeah, as I did previously note that one test was indeed bad. These, however, paint the picture. The first one is a stock 2600 vs 9400f, the second one is an OCed 2600x vs the 9400f. None of the below charts are cherry picked, either. The original articles only have the 2600/x and 2700/x winning in like 4 games of 22 total:

    Cpu temp question

Gsync is completel different than Vsync. Vsync locks your refresh rate to your panels refresh rate. Gsync smooths out your frames to when in between a certain range to prevent screen tearing from the frames becoming out of sync.
  9. Hi, Can you please help out? I am going insane. I have recently purchased the following (details of issue to follw): Asus TUF B450 Plus Gaming (not M version) G Skill RipJaws V (F4-3200C16D-32GVK) 32GB Kit (16x2) RXVega64 Aerocool Project7 650W 80 PLUS Platinum RGB Modular Power Supply SSD: Samsung 860Evo 1TB (from previous pc prior to upgrade) HDD: 1x 3TB, 1x 4TB Issue: System just powers off while testing, hard shut down, will not turn on, unless I turn it off from the power supply wait for the power to drain and then turn back on, and then press the button to power up. Originally I thought it was a faulty stick of memory, since I did the trouble shooting, and found one of the two sticks failed. The system did work okay for a couple of days with an older GPU - R9 380X, symptoms appeared after upgrading to the Vega64 It would go through a portion of the test, aka 3DMark, with afterburner on, and then, nothing no electricity, except for the lights on the motherboard... Then after playing around with the RAM, I was able to isolate it to a single stick, and as Murphy would have it, it was the second stick. I got the pair replaced today, and it went through Heaven Benchmark 4.0, then, once I started up 3D Mark, and once again, it failed. I removed a single stick, 4th one, tested again, and it ran the whole thing. The ram runs at 2133 of which I did from the beginning this time once I installed the new pair, before I even booted to windows, and no overclocking the cpu, as I left that at 3400. So, I am now suspecting the motherboard. Now to my inquiry to you, have you encountered anything like this scenario before? What can it be? Thank you for your help and advice. I had populated the 2nd and 4th slots. p.s. I had updated the BIOS, that was one of the 1st things I did, and also the AMD drivers to the 18.50...

    Is this PC any good?

A gaming rig is going to be used for gaming, browsing, video watching, email, discord, etc. So the gaming numbers are all that really matters. Nothing productivity is happening that makes use of the extra threads.
  12. You probably need to plug in the display cable into P4000 before booting.

    Is this PC any good?

yeah, exept that that csgo run was either superfake or horribly tested in dx8 no way a 8700k gets overtaken by a 8700

It literally says it on his screenshot ‘G sync on’ i assume he has it on in all games. If so, doesn’t explain the temp jumps.

    Is this PC any good?

Nope, in a vast number of games the I3 8100 trades blows with the 2600. It takes about an even number of wins as the 2600 does. And then the 9400f at stock is able to beat overclocked 2700/2700x/2600x almost across the board with a few outliers. If you'd like some linked data I have plenty as I'm sure you know hahaha.

    Is this PC any good?

Buying a 4c/4t 7400/8100 is just awful over any 6c/12t CPU. Also 2600x is either as good or a better choice over the 9400f. The 2600 beating them both in terms of what a person should choose.

  19. I was bored when I was young, so I spent some time reading and writing DOS batch files and I tried to learn Pascal and Basic. Being an immature teenager, I wanted to write malware, of course. Because that was too easy (my first own "programs" basically were batch files that formatted your hard disk), I spent more and more time with Visual Basic and Delphi and I wrote a growing number of small tools. As this was long before "VB.net", most of my Visual Basic code was actually VBA code in Word and Excel. Not much later, I wrote my first PHP code for the web and played with Perl and a number of other languages. C/C++ and ASM came surprisingly late. So I had more than 13 years of "programming" experience when I got my first paid job as a developer in 2010. I still aim for world domination. Very few of my personal applications find a relatively large number of users, but I'm working on that.

    Custom Portable Shelf/Case

Id try going for somrthing modular. Use wooden "nails" to slideonto. If you want somethign really compact you can screw the components to the shelf itself. Have mobo screws, etc. Not having to bring a case allows for a lot more room for stuff and food.

    Help with Audio Interface/Amp-Dac etc

Okay, I'm trying to decide between the HD 6XX or the HD 598s. Which one would you prefer? Also, does the 598s also come with the Adapter as well? Also.... what about a mixer, for this setup? I don't want anything complicated but id love to be able to control my Mic Frequencies/Filters (Noise Gate/Compression) manual rather than through software. Hope im not asking too much, you don't know how much I appreciate the help.
