How to change paste and clean the GPU

It's definitely an older CPU but it is a quad core. It really depend on what you will use it for, if you're gaming it will surely bottleneck any mid to high end GPU's. I'd guess it probably would bottleneck anything anything beyond a GTX 1050ti

    DIY Hand brake for pc

Does it need to be pressure sensitive? Otherwise it would be as easy as rigging something together with a keyboard akin to what Barnucles did here: TL;DW: he had device you're suppose to control with your feet, which basically has some buttons on it, he mounted a plunger to it and boom, handbrake. You could probably rig something together out of wood, where if you pull on something it presses a button (on a keyboard for example). That is not pressure sensitive though; that's simply on or off. Otherwise you could rig something more elaborate together using an arduino and some more switches (or maybe potentiometer). The way I picture it working is you have a handbrake, which you can push down or it's upright, by pushing it down a potentiometer will turn, which will give a certain signal, the Arduino converts that signal to some number (e.g. between 0.0 an 1.0) and you can write some software to interface with the game (not sure how that would work).. etc. etc. But that requires some more modding and equipment; likely far outweighing the price of a normal handbrake. TL;DR: Yes it's possible.. But you either need to have some stuff laying around for it to be worth it.. Or do some extensive modding. I was about to break out some of my limited FFMpeg knowledge here

    Ryzen and high fps

with the time ive had on the forum, its quite exagerated. and a Ryzen 5 holds up quite well in a lot of title at 1080p using that GPU. also buying something more expencive than a Ryzen 5 is not that clever with Zen 2 on the horizon

Choosing a keyboard; Redragon Kumara K552 or Kingston HyperX Alloy Core?

I would get the red dragon Mechanical keyboards are great
  9. He doesn't need a 2080Ti unless he wants to game @ 4k @ 60fps. If you buy one and play at 1440p then it is a pure waiste of money as the 2080 does 1440p with all AA methods on all nvpanel settings set to max and in game settings set to max and you get triple digit frame rate with AAA titles.
  10. The dells come with HDMI cables according to dell.com (and a USB 3.0 a to b) as for that displayport cable only doing 60hz that is extremely odd, I've never seen a DP cable limit the refresh rate, usually its one of the ports maybe it's just a faulty cable... I have some generic bestbuy cable driving my 144hz display with no issues (I would give you a brand but it literally just had the DP logo on it so idk...) any DP 1.2 or higher cable should work just fine (I would say just get some amazon basics ones) if you have DVI on your middle monitor and it's working fine there's no reason to replace it with DP (amazon link: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01J8S6X2I/ref=twister_B07FLQYMWK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1)

    NEW PSU Tier List

Um, I changed from EVGA G2 to G3, is that worse now? What the??
  15. The cheapest Ti I could find was 1169 euros which is the Palit GamingPro and for the regular 2080 was 739 euros which is MSI Ventus, which is over 400 euro difference. My total budget would be something on the lines of 2200-2300ish. Yeah I was thinking the same thing, but then again I'm not very experienced in 1440p because I've gamed on a 1080p 60hz monitor my whole life.
  16. I will be buying a new keyboard and Ive looked at some "top X amount best budget keyboards", these 2 show to be more or less recommended and are available right now, at the same price. The Redragon one is mechanical and the HyperX one is not. I havent used a mechanical keyboard before and dont know the difference. So Im hoping some of you may have used those and are they any good.

    Ryzen and high fps

Well the main issue facing AMD ryzen is the fact that while they do great at multithread tasks, most games are targeted at single thread and this is where Ryzen falters a little. Mind you that Ryzen is still very competitive and is the best AMD has ever done in years. It only falls behind intel a mere 10-15% thats impressive for a company most counted out 3 years ago.

    G2A can i trust it

The game is currently on a Humble Bundle deal. You could get it (+some other games) for $15. Also, I wouldn't trust G2A and would never buy from them again. I learned through the hard way that the keys obtained from G2A could be bought using stolen credit cards.

    RX460 4GB VS GTX GTX760 4GB

RX 460, but i would try to get a 470.
  21. Recently I just bought a 1.5v 8gb ram and it wont detect on my laptop. When i put in the 1.35v ram into the ram slot it works perfectly. There is total of 2 ram slot inside the laptop and one of them is built in. So i doubt the built in ram is 1.35v and cannot be mixed with 1.5v ram

I'm in Bolton uk , both around the same price give or take a few £££ if they're both good cards i might just pick them both up, want one for a budget build on my sons pc

    Ryzen and high fps

There will be a 16 core 32 thread Zen 2 Ryzen and it will cost around 600 dollars. The ThreadRipper will have up to 32 cores 64 threads and will cost about 1700 dollars. Now before anyone jumps on me, this is just speculation and not the real facts. With the research I have done the Zen 2 Ryzen will destroy a Intel as far as core count.

Trying to pick a monitor for my build

Well, first things first...the build needs sorting out. We can cut off a hell of a lot of money here on this build. You're only using it for gaming, so we don't need 3tb hdd. I changed the hdd and ssd to a 1tb ssd. You didn't need that motherboard either (X470 for a 2600x is way over the top), so i saved some money on that. Then I changed the gpu, which is also overpriced, and saved some money by going to a better performing and higher vram vega 64 strix. Most importantly the psu was changed, as that model is seriously outdated. Then I added a 75hz freesync 1080p LG monitor. Should be reliable and it's fairly high fps. It's a decent price and it strikes the middleground between a sluggish feeling 60fps, and a lightning fast 144fps, so it's good for both the demanding titles at ultra, and in esports too without being too expensive. Not a big tolerance if you live in a place where even your neutral wire has 220v in it. Thats only one issue out of many in the power coming to my house. I think you are underestimating the power of power LOL. Believe me it has nothing to do with software maybe in your case it is but not everyone else.
