It's nice to see this game still getting support.

Also, up to 50 player online multiplayer?  Yes please!

What do you think of my friend's fan setup?

Oh it looks cool. But was also looking at some deepcool fans a. As with most cases, the fan blows on the bottom b. What do you mean pulling? Air? I'm not sure about that but the big fan is, positioned at the bottom of the case where the hole is

To RAID or Not to RAID?

It should be noted that RAID is not a backup. Things can go wrong that destroy the data across all the disks. Personally I would just buy one 8TB and have a backup somewhere on the network but if you want to go this route I'd use Windows Storage Spaces. You will have to partition, format, and initialize the volume yourself but it's not hard. If a single drive fails just replace that one drive.

    $500 pc build?

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel - Core i5-9400F 2.9 GHz 6-Core Processor ($167.89 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: Gigabyte - B360M DS3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($69.89 @ OutletPC) Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($76.89 @ OutletPC) Storage: Intel - 660p Series 512 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($61.37 @ Amazon) Video Card: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1660 6 GB XC BLACK GAMING Video Card ($214.99 @ Amazon) Case: Cooler Master - MasterBox Lite 3.1 MicroATX Mid Tower Case ($45.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Corsair - CXM 550 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($47.98 @ Newegg) Total: $684.99 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-04-26 10:25 EDT-0400 Indeed building Intel/nVidia is more expensive than AMD to a point it's really hard fitting it on such tight budgets while not making a "senseless" build. You'll have to do with AMD and considering only the build without monitor and peripherals I'd say @Herman Mcpootis got the best AMD alternative here.

Be quiet pure power 11 600W , worth getting?

Bequiet makes great PSUs, but you won't need that much wattage. I love quiet fans, the ones they use in their PSUs are almost completely inaudible

What should my next upgrade be?

    Yeah...I love the red
  9. I agree 100% here. But point just were that i probably need to test 4.9GHz setup more than 30 minutes to conclude it is stable. However, it was stable in that sense it didnt crash/bsod in the 35 mins of testing i did, and therefor i moved on to try push it further So back to my 5.0GHz attempt. The reason im crashing, COULD be because i need to finetune my LLC to the current vcore, right? Or add more vcore voltages. Is that my only two options as this point?

Do they have eyes? But maybe it does look normal for them in the service. If the PC is still with them ask them to take some screenshots.

What should my next upgrade be?

But it's the Ripjaws like that? Nice! I honestly just love the look of the heat spreaders. It happens to be a nice reliable brand, too!

Is everyone an amateur game streamer nowadays?

Making videos can be fun. Everyone wants a little ad revenue though.

    Gaming on a quad core

Those games will run fine (60fps) on your CPU at 1080p presuming you have a decent GPU. That said, I wouldn't go out and buy a 4 core CPU if I didn't already have it. Get a Ryzen 5 1600 cheap and it will go a lot farther.

What is your best FMV adventure games?

I suddenly had the urge to play some classic FMV adventure games. When I was young I played Tex Murphy: Under a Killing Moon, Black Dahlia, Phantasmagoria, Gabriel Knight 2. But it was at a time where my english was very bad, so I couldnt understand much what was going on. One of my favorites was surprisingly X-Files. I just love the setting in this game. I'm thinking of playing some games again and maybe stream/let'splay them. What are you guys favorites?

    First time overclocker - i7-9700K

    1. Personally, I feel stability is relative. Does it matter if my system is 100% stable at doing the things I need it to do? Yes. Does it matter if my system can pass 12 hours MINIMUM of P95? Well, if my job was to run P95 12 hours a day, sure. But it isn't. So, for me, an hour of Realbench, a battery of cinebench runs, and no crashes in the programs I actually use is enough for me. 2. MCE will overshoot your voltage a lot. But it usually works. But it might still crash if you are set at maximum LLC at 1.375v already. I wouldn't bother if you can get a decent manual configuration.

What do you think of my friend's fan setup?

Hot air rises and you also want to project it away from people so your room doesn't heat up. I always recommend people intake on the front and bottom (and side if you have it) and exhaust out the top and back. You'd have to have a very unique situation to recommend otherwise. Because hot air rises it really is best to help it along its path of least resistance, you'll get better cooling this way in nearly every case. A few questions. a. What direction is that PSU shroud fan blowing? b. Is the PSU pulling from inside or outside the case?

    Noisy Wraith Stealth

Temps are excellent thanks. The fan is off balance slightly, minor engineering fault. I would return it but the hassle of RMA is just not worth the effort or my time. I guarantee the dealer will want the whole box including the cpu posted back. So easiest to just order a new cooler. I do work in IT, just in high end kit costing millions so am very out of touch with current consumer products. So my question was more to find out what are considered decent, quiet and at a decent price. Overall I am very happy with my new build. Probably should have gone with a better case but did rush that bit. Most cases I looked at didn’t have front bays for a card reader or optical drove, and I needed those. Shame as many of the gaming cases look great and seem to be very well designed

I guess I'm just used to mixing keyboard layouts all of the time, since I have somewhere between five and ten different keyboard layouts. I'm glad you have it up and running just fine now! Enjoy your stay in Linuxville!

Thread for Linus Tech Tips Video Suggestions

Don't know if you're interested...... But I just got a Corsair Void Pro RGB wireless headset half price from Amazon today....but I'm wondering if I should send them back!?! I was reading the safety advice about the battery(YES, I RTFM), and the first precaution says '1. Do not drop, hit, TAUNT, SHOUT AT, or bend the battery'!??! WTH.... Would you and your team like to do a test vid on youtube please? I really like them, and at a great price too. I'm sure you'll all enjoy shouting abuse to test them out.... ^___-
