  2. The Fujitsu is only worth something if you have the server that's compatible with that card, and the vapor X has a sleek cooler but that's it. None are especially interesting or uncommon cards.
  3. 7th gen and 11th gen. Honestly I dont think 14th gen is that disappointing compared to those two
  4. Hey everyone, we hope you had a good week. Earlier this week we rolled out a new system for bringing up concerns regarding brands we work with. We ask that you all read that, as this will help us stay more focused on resolutions to problems. As far as things we wanted to touch on this week, we’ve got a couple of updates on some brands that we stepped back from. Epomaker We have been working firsthand with Epomaker to address some of the issues we saw brought up on the Forum, and we intend to continue reaching out to members of our community who may face issues. We have also kept our eye on concerns that the mechanical keyboard community as a whole has brought up and we continue to assist Epomaker with these. They have updated their customer service with new policies that emphasize the customer and increased the support staff on their team. The last thing we talked to them about was some concerns about IP infringement. This is residual from when they started out as a reseller. We shared a master list of these products with them, and worked with them to see that these were removed from their site. Secretlab After having a long late-night call with the team, hashing out many of the issues, we feel as though they are taking a lot of these concerns more seriously now. They’ve adjusted their customer service focus to tackle problems more on a case by case basis, with an emphasis on doing right over doing what is “standardized.” They have also added a team dedicated to making sure that no customer complaints go over 48 hours without a response. We have also discussed with them what are reasonable solutions to problems with products, including when it would be wise to repair or replace. They have even provided our team with a dedicated member to address any future complaints that we can monitor and make sure that those same reasonable solutions are being provided. We will be resuming our partnership with Secretlab. Thank you all again, and I wanted to give a special thanks to anyone who was able to participate in our charity auction this week or even those who were able to donate a couple of bucks directly.
  5. In recent memory, 10th gen HEDT, it was basically 14th gen if it happened 2 times in a row. 11th gen is also famously bad since the 11900K was slower than the 10900K it replaced in some instances, though that at least had other advantages and wasn't a pure side grade like 10th HEDT or 14th gen was.

  7. Can someone help me find a monitor arm that can do two 34.2 ultrawide monitors? Also one with a 34.2 and 27 inch monitor?
  8. If only I could test it. I’d have to spend the thousands of $ first.
  9. That's the problem. Software decode is intensive.
  10. And no, I'm not talking about stuff like the Pentium 4. It has to be on LGA 775 or anything after.
  11. With the disappointment that is 14th gen, I've been wondering if any other intel CPU generations were on par or more disappointing than it.
  12. While they may not support hardware AV1 decoding, as long as they have Android 12 or higher, they should have native software decoding for AV1, no? At least that's what I'm getting from the article.
  13. Are these real hall effect joy-sticks?? This product looks amazing, please do a review! I would love to see, you buy and test a whole shwack, of items, from the store: 8BitDo, located on Ali Express. As a distinguished Gentleman, I have provided, the Sauce: https://a.aliexpress.com/_mMR90ca
  14. Decent first build Can you be more specific on the PSU? This is one component you don't cheap out on or go with a dangerous unit.
  15. Yeah I did try a single stick in each slot. Again no difference. Only A1 and A2 works. Sadly I think I'm out of luck. I have two defective slots.
  16. ran ddu installing driver now will quote you again if the problem happens again if i dont ,good news
  17. I am building a pc made of parts I took from prebuilts. The specs will be: intel core i5-6500 Stock cpu cooler Msi pro h110-m motherboard Msi ARMOR OC gtx 1070 a random case I found on the internet(about the only new part in the entire build) a random 500w psu
  18. As per the post title. Got a fresh M10 drive and I just can't get it to work. I have done some research and made sure it is enabled in BIOS, has ACHI changed to RST and also opened up some space with a partition manager which has done nothing up to yet. Most people online with this issue seem to be missing one of the aforementioned prerequisites. Intel have fully EOL'd this and as such doesn't even offer support for it anymore, so I was hoping someone here has an idea on what to do next. Thank you
  19. I've noticed that after changing my internet connection from a 2.4ghz to a 5ghz connection, ive noticed that my scores on human benchmark's reaction time test have gone down from a 275 ms average to 240 average. There's no way ive improved that much in that time. Does human benchmark take into account your ping to the servers? If it doesn't, are there any offline softwares to test my reaction time that don't have connection latency?
  20. I found a good deal on a rx 5700 xt(150$), but I would need a new psu. Should I go for it. Yes it is a MT. I did some research and I am sold on the 1660. I found it for 200 new at local store, so a sale would do the trick. Otherwise Ebay or Ali Express. Should I just risk it and not buy a new psu or be save and buy a 450 watt or higher.

@BiotechBen 24€ per tube (UK import) but I will keep it in mind. Meanwhile due to (my) design flaw posted above I will replace the printbed with a 200mm wide unit to fix it. Haven't decided if I will copy the original mounting method or throw it out and come up with my own clamping method.
  22. map games, Valorant, Minecraft, Souls Like. Maybe Hell Divers, I am not aiming to be able to play it, but if it works might as well play it. It is a MT. I did some research and I am sold on the 1660. I found it for 200 new at local store, so a sale would do the trick. Otherwise Ebay or Ali Express. Should I just risk it and not buy a new psu or be save and buy a 450 watt or higher
  23. Over the past few days I have been looking at UEFI capsule releases from a few different vendors, trying to extract various thunderbolt 4 firmware files embedded within so I can compare them I am using UEFITool (https://github.com/LongSoft/UEFITool), and I am able to pretty easily understand HP and Asus's image formats (even though the way HP stores the firmware in the capsule and updates it is different than how Asus does it) However for MSI, I am stumped...even for an identical chipset board that Asus uses, a Z690 board, with the same TB4 maple ridge controller...I just can not figure out where in the cap MSI are storing the TB firmware image or how they are updating it in the UEFI code. With Asus: Updater app is TbtNvmDrvShellUpdate (5EDCCC1A-F4CA-42F4-8D3E-CA4C0B396BF7) Actual update is performed by an EFI_FIRMWARE_MANAGEMENT_PROTOCOL (86C77A67-0B97-4633-A187-49104D0685C7) instance Protocol instance for Thunderbolt installed by driver CCF23F50-F7C1-4F00-8E70-13643C37E8B0 NVM firmware update loaded from EED54281-1C11-4358-BF5A-F64995FBF11B on most (all?) ASUS boards with built-in Maple Ridge / TB4 With HP: DXE updater at EED54281-1C11-4358-BF5A-F64995FBF11B Actual TB4 firmware stored uncompressed in padding section at the end of the capsule, alongside several other binary firmware packages for additional I/O chips, USB-PD etc. If anyone wants to take a stab at this, https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MEG-Z690-ACE/support I'm going based off of the assumption that original release (7D27v10 https://download.msi.com/bos_exe/mb/7D27v10.zip) has _some_ TB4 firmware in it...I checked the other releases as well, but couldn't find anything there either. The other possibility is, MSI updates the TB4 firmware some other way, and it's not stored in the UEFI capsule at all...but I don't believe this to be true, as Intel have said as a policy with TB4 specifically that the way OEMs are supposed to handle updates is through UEFI caps. MSI tech support of course are no help at all, but that's not surprising.
