How to set up Raid 0 with USB sticks(Windows)?

Don't know if there's any 3rd party software for WIndows, as the built in features of Windows don't support it. You'd have to go over to a Mac to do it. See the vid below. Hard Drives aren't exactly expensive these days.

I cannot do that as its under rental contract, it would void the contract.

Buidling New PC would this work ?

Battlefield V getting 137 FPS with an FX 8350? yeah right... Also his GPU usage is always at 100% seemingly with the FX 8350, so really the 2950X should perform the same since the 8350 is already taking full advantage of the card, that's ofc assuming the footage is related which it looks like it is

    CPU Cooler Performance Tier List

I've been following this thread as a reference for a long time, but recently I can't but think there are a few discrepancies here and there. For example, Noctua U14S has been put in the Tier 4, but Deepcool's Maelstrom 120 as well as the budget AIO Gammaxx L240 has been put in Tier 3. I find it difficult to believe that a budget 240mm AIO would surpass U14S, let alone a 120mm AIO. Is there any supporting evidence that Gammaxx L240 or Maelstrom 120 performs better than Noctua U14S or U12A?

    Linus Fixes Click Bait Titles

I still remember the "Is AMD For Poor People?" title (and humorously was put on show on @Tristerin which I love) that sparked a lot of outrage and controversery here and also in the YouTube comments, it was equal parts entertaining to see the backlash a simple title can bring and also a feeling of distrust towards the channel itself.

    Quick RT question

So, I've been seeing things everywhere about the 'raytraced Minecraft'. And everyone arguing that it's path tracing, not RTX. Even though it isn't part of the official RTX brand, would these path tracing games/shaders utilise the RT cores in a RTX card?

I'm thinking you meant "bought" The only parts there that matter for compatibility are the CPU, motherboard and ram. So if the CPU and ram are compatible with the motherboard then you're good to go, if that's what you were asking?

    CPU Fan curve

Curve ? none. I have my fans set at a static speed that is both quiet and cools enough to keep things going , ~1000rpm. As a backup i have a step up to max RPM should temps hit 73c, which they never do. This acts a both extra cooling obviously but also an audible notice that something is up as a sudden increase in fan RPM is very much audible. My GPU idles at ambient, which at this moment is 22c, and my CPU at about 32c. During gaming GPU is usually around 40-44c fully loaded, and CPU never really gets fully loaded so <60c.

Is spending an extra 200€ worth it for a 2080?

Radeon VII is cheaper than the 2080 at the moment. It also has 16gb vram and HBCC, it'll last longer than the 8gb on the 2080 and performs very close to the 2080's performance. Consider that too. If you want to last longer, Radeon VII is a better option than the 2080. If you want Ray Tracing and DLSS, then the 2080 is for you. Take your pick. https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/JL3H99/asrock-radeon-vii-16-gb-phantom-gaming-x-video-card-pg-x-r-vii-16g
  15. I would still advise going out on a shoot and see how it's like if you haven't done so. I did it with my a6000 and despite some few dust spots, it didn't really do much although I later sent it back to Sony to have it cleaned as it later got to the point where it's just distracting. If you feel the same way as I did when it started to bother me, send it to a place where they can clean it professionally. I wouldn't try to do it myself if it's difficult to get out as you could risk leaving marks on the sensor itself.

I think i am going with the rtx 2080. I feel like it will last me longer than and has a better value compared to the 2070.

Buidling New PC would this work ?

    I know. I'm just saying that the 8350 would bottleneck a lot with the 580 and 570. I have a 570 myself; I know it's miles ahead of a 1050 Ti.
  20. I'm pretty much settled on getting a View 71 for my next build, I want to go 420mm at the top and 360mm at the front, I was wondering if anyone here had put a CLC in one and if you had any advice either from a watercooling or building point of view (is there anything you addressed or think could be improved)?

Is spending an extra 200€ worth it for a 2080?

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/MssmP6/sapphire-radeon-rx-vega-64-8gb-nitro-video-card-11275-03-40g Get this Vega 64 Nitro+ card then. Performs close to the 2070 for far cheaper, and it'll actually last longer at higher resolutions due to HBCC. So when it runs out of the 8gb, HBCC is there to back it up. You're also getting the best cooler design of all the vega 64's for cheaper than the worst coolers on the 2070. Amazing value.
  23. Here's a way I just figured out now: 1- Mount the DMG 2- Right click the drive in DIsk Utility, select "Image from <NAME>" 3- Set format to "read/write" then save 4- Mount the new DMG 5- Rename it in Disk Utility, then unmount to save 6- If you want to keep it read only, repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 while keeping the format as "read only"
