  3. Time is a construct too

perhaps even reality is an illusion, the universe a hologram, buy gold!

  4. Those were the early ones, the DWF had one fan inside the monitor instead of the two found on the G-Sync flavor of it. Go with the MSI, it's much better baked. https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824475350 Cheaper to boot, and looks less gamery too. More or less of the same QD-OLED fla, anyway.
  5. Whichever is at least 6-core with the highest clock speed possible if this is just for gaming, but unless you already have a board for broadwell xeons you're going to be paying a premium for nearly 10 year old hardware.
  6. What resolution are you playing at? What GPU do you have?
  7. I've been messing with undervolting my 14600k since it would hit initially 95c in cinebench r24. Managed to get that dropped to 85c after some tinkering. But now after going full manual bios settings I managed to get it down to max 70c. This is using a artic freezer 2 240aio. The results in cinebench at least have been around 1350-1370 for multi core and 117 in single core (note not overlcocking just power management here) which is about what it was getting before doing any of this. Although not sure about single core since I never tested before hand but it seems like a decent score. so it's 4.8ghz all core but only seemed to hit 5.1ghz single core not really an issue for me. Maybe I'll sort that at a later date What I've done is disable cep. Set pl1 and pl2 to 125w. Set adaptive voltage to auto. And then set auto for all core ratios upto 4.0ghz. upto 4.5ghz -0.07v // upto 4.8 -0.06 // upto 4.9 -0.055 and upto 5.3 -0.05v. Seems to be stable with this I've never really done undervolting before so to get -10c 20c on the temps surprised even me. And even with the 125 limit no synthetic downgrade. Has anyone else messed round with a 14600k like this. And what settings did you use for your offsets

I've seen spam mail use my first name, I've see…

    Dear da S na… /s
  9. Im really not sure, ive never used a riser cable (and have been following along with the thread) but at this point it might be worth just taking the riser out
  10. yeah there's software to make incremental backups, what irks me is saying "non os files" typically these backup softwares will make full system restores, you can also backup seperate drives sure, but then you're back to micromanaging all that stuff, its unclear to me why no "os files" those contain important documents and settings too...
  11. Tomahawk is quite expensive and unnecessary for a majority of people, gaming plus or even lower should be fine
  12. 7500F should be quite a bit cheaper and only 2-3% slower than a 7600, also everything above the 7600 has an iGPU
  13. wouldn't surprise me if this resulted in the opposite tbh lol, seems very ill thought out to "demand" something from an government that can already be done in a somewhat greyzone, its likely any officials asked about this will gladly nope out... tldr: dumb
  14. The game looks and runs insanely well
  15. i also seen more accurate videos about this showing "unplayable" games that of course still can be played just fine... truth is in many cases, even when its up they have a playerbase of 10 or so... totally irrelevant outside of the preservation aspect, which yes can be done by everyone inclined to do it.
  16. I just don't see it being feasible when I can build a pc for 350 that looks good but what xeon would you go for?
  17. Yes. New parts release fairly frequently, and even when there isn't a big part release coming up, it's fairly common prices to shift as companies compete with things like back end rebates, game bundles, and other methods of driving prices down compared to everyone else, so one day the best choice might be a 7700X, while the next it might be a 13600K or 14600K, or it transitions from any given kit of RAM to something else (RAM and motherboards as a whole change almost every day it seems like, so unless you have very specific requirements for those parts, the one that makes sense to purchase changes just as frequently).
  18. You'll want something like an LSI 9300-8i. can go older too with HDDs, 9200-8i can be half the price or so. 12Gb/s is useless on HDDs, they typically won't even use half of a 6Gb/s link.
  19. Msi Rx6700xt gaming X: I never bought any used pc parts before I checked online ASrock rx 7600 card but the cost is 329.23 dollar is that worth it? can i buy it for 233.45 dollar...? in used condition rx6700xt card is that worth it..? one year used card for blender and i check it with the stress test GPU the card run 70 to 81*C temperature with max load and ideal is 40 to 50*C is that ok for used graphics card..? My previous card is gtx 1650 is that good up-grade ?. i can't buy rtx card its more cost. I'm not a big fan of any GPU brands and i don't know the rx 6700xt is good graphics card or not 12gb Vram is enough for 2024 gaming? and I only have 1080p monitor and I don't use RTGI or ray tracing . this card is good for 1080p high preset gaming and ML..? IMPORTANT: this card run (GTA 6) in 1080p?
  20. Budget (including currency): $1700 firm Country: Usa (amazon&bestbuy) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 1440p gaming, premier pro and after effects (sometimes) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have the Frost spirit 140, 2tb mp44L and would like a small -ish black build with rgb if possible. I have all the peropherals Btw i know i asked for a build a few days ago but my budget has changed and i felt the need to ask again. So thankyou!
  21. If you check that store's other products none of the prices make sense, so yeah that'd be a hard pass.
  22. Ok no worries so it would be just better to wait until I have the money and then ask what I should get
  23. OK, then ask around October. Both AMD and Intel should be releasing new parts by then anyway, so everything we recommend now will by completely irrelevant by then.
  24. I Will probably have this money around sometime in October
