Lenovo Legion 9i vs. 7i
superbrett2000 replied to superbrett2000's topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
Yea that's what it seemed when I started researching and looking. I guess a moot point now that I'm going with a desktop and the 4070 looks to offer great performance for the price. -
Ahh, alright. Thanks a lot! We'll look into how to use linux as we both are unfamiliar with how to use and install that os. Praying for the sake of our uni projects!

those switches are like my macbook except refined and have very good feel the best way I can describe its a more tighter type feeling.

Easy, 0.5 = 12x + x x=0.5/13 = 0.038 Oh shit I didn't think it would get that close, I just thought engineer approximation funny haha -
That, try it in another machine, possibly from a live linux boot... if it's recognised with proper capacity you can use e.g. ddrescue to make an image of it and hopefully mount it then, if it still freezes or doesn't get recognised correctly there's nothing you'll be able to do outside of using a data recovery company.
-
If it has gone bad, is there a way to recover any files from it or is it doomed...
-
Unable to do that in current moment, it's just that the other one works fine that makes us think that shouldn't be an issue!
-
Perhaps try the SSD in another slot or in another PC. Though seems it's gone bad.
-
Could you try the SSD in another machine?

I am extremely happy that they upgraded to Scissor Switch 2 after that debacle. The Butterfly switches were terrible.

@Lurick As a German on a train from Frankfurt to Kassel, I understand. Even this forum won't work reliable as the page loads but the reply field shows for eternity loading. -
My friend recently couldn't boot his computer and got sent straight to the bios despite it working perfectly the day before. He since then has bought a new harddrive and it's working seemlessly which led us to believe the old one could be faulty. However, he has some files there that are important as well as the fact we both are bummed and stubborn and left to wonder if there are any potential fixes. So to get to what we are able to see, inside of the diskmanager the "faulty" drive shows up as a unknown device with every information blank. As well as when it was plugged in along side the new ssd it took about 5 minutes to boot but without sending us to the bios. I'll attach some photos and help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

Yes they do spin

Solve or approximate x: 0.5 =12*x+tan(x) Good luck to all of you. -
You guys are right, I think 4K is too much for his hardware. I haven't asked yet, but from what I've seen the PC is some not too high end prebuilt so I'd rather qhd and not 4K. Very low chances 4K would fit

it will not. It also won't use an ATX Power Supply most likely. -
Is it worth it in 2024 to build a pc with R9 3950X?
filpo replied to Mantas's topic in New Builds and Planning
A used 2080 ti should be around that price. Or a 6700 xt/6750 xt since that’s sometimes cheaper. Maybe even a used 3080 but check if that’s a scam. Used 3070 should be around that price but it’s only got 8gb or vram though that should be fine for 1080p -

Hi, i recently putted together a new pc with a Ryzen 5 7600x, an ASUS TUF B650M and 2x16 of Kingston FURY 5600MT/s memory (KF556C40BA-16) This memory is CL40 and searching in the Kingston page it doesnt mention it being compatible with any AMD processors, only with Intel XMP. Does this mean im going to have problems running this RAM's with my processor at all? or only that i cant overclock them using DOCP from AMD to the max speed my processor support's, that is 5200MHz? Could this change in the future with a software update that made this RAM's compatible with DOCP overclocking? I paid a lot of money for this RAM's, in my country PC components are really expensive so im really worried to have made a wrong purchase Thank you for your help

likely cause he had nothing to complain about, your only other option in that price is like a used ryzen 5 5500 or a new 13 10100f, so no get that its a wonderful deal, see if you can be a dick and talk him down more... -
