    That's more shit than giggles
  3. Also if you are using a power bar try going directly into an outlet
  4. did the PSU work on a different system? Easy way to tell if you are shorting the system is by trying to make a diy test bench setup with the motherboard box and seeing if you can boot the pc there. Don't run it like this for long, just to see if you get a proper boot sequence going. This would let us know that there is a short somewhere in the case. Also try a different outlet ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Nope. The official LightScribe site has been taken down. Took me a little while to track down a drive firmware update, LightScribe System Software (the driver), LightScribe Template Labeler, and LightScribe Simple Labeler, all four of which I needed. Ran into some scummy people actually charging money for those four free software packages or claiming they had some other necessary software to make LightScribe work. And of course the discs are expensive.

Was it easier to get working than a paper inkjet tho?
  8. Your best bet is to do what 191x7 suggested. I do not know what OS you are using. If it is Win-11, that has some fps drops due to bad windows update patches.
  9. Thank You so much. Managed to get it. Feel kinda dumb once i saw how easy it was. Both systems are working & using just the NAS storage. appreciate the help pal

I find that label funny because its verbiage can be interpreted in two ways. The language used is unclear: "Do not lend or make illegal copies". From where the modifier is placed in the clause, it could be interpreted as limiting the scope of "do not lend" to only "illegal copies". If it were to be written as perhaps "Do not lend or copy this disc", such modification would resolve the ambiguity. But as it is written, it seems as though lending illegal copies is the only point at which you break the EULA - lending the original OEM disc is totally fine.
  11. Thank you rascal and average nerd I got it working
  12. 102km today in 5 hours and 2 minutes. Absolute nightmare of a headwind on the way back. Total this year: 179km
  13. Use \\[IP address]\Share Drive\ instead of \\TV-PC\Share Drive\. Sometimes the local domain names don't get registered properly with your gateway, so IPs are the foolproof method.
  14. Make a shared folder on the synology. Here is their guide. https://kb.synology.com/en-global/DSM/help/DSM/AdminCenter/file_share_create?version=7 Then go under this pc, then map a network drive and it will show up as a drive letter on windows.
  15. I'm trying to map a network drive and having no luck as I keep getting hit with a "You do not have permission to access" error despite being logged into both PC as an Admin with the same Windows account, both connected via ethernet and having the same network advanced sharing settings. I've given full permissions to all groups/users, restarted both systems and still get the same error. Can anyone identify what I'm doing wrong exactly here? I was able to map a network drive before but never ran into this problem.
  16. Fine I’ll drop the optane I can’t get jonsbo cases in India: what isn’t clear about that ? I’m not going over the storage I have for now. Maybe later I’ll set up more pools
  17. Some engines are far more perfect than others, though. Like the Volvo engine found on the Mack Anthem.
  18. How do you do this? Sorry i am completely new to this & dont know anything. And this will allow me to still access it across multiple devices, systems ect..
  19. The earlier VVT 5.4's had the same oil pump/poor oil pressure issues that carried over from the 4.6 and if there's one thing that'll ruin a VVT system it's low oil pressure. Root cause I believe was the pump back plate bowing and leaking, I haven't had to delve into them in ages. For a time the recommendation was oil pump with chain job with phasers and solenoids. Later oil pumps tightened up tolerances and seem to be less problematic. Phasers have gotten better too. Like any modern engine OIL OIL OIL use good oil and change it on a schedule earlier than they say. Good synthetic with a good filter every 5-6K miles! Part of the GM issues are shitty oil, but also their shitty design. They came out with that whole Dexos oil spec with extra anti-frothing additives to try to prevent mis-timed cylinder deactivation events from entrained air in the oil causing slow apply or slow release and absolutely slapping the shit out of the cam and lifter as a result. Every GM V8 with an AFM problem also has a maintenance problem. Not saying it doesn't happen to well maintained engines, I know it does, but poor maintenance makes it a guaranteed failure. There's no perfect engine anyway, they all have their issues. The non AFM LS's piss oil from that rear seal plate and the oil galley plug bleeds off oil pressure and mixes dirty oil in with the clean.
  20. Best bet is probably a more powerful used card, and then use DLSS or FSR
  21. But when I press f1 nothing happens
  22. You can mount the NAS drive in your OS, then it should show up likeanouther drive, and won't use any external disk space.
  23. So i picked up a Synology DS124 for the purpose of it acting as a go between my 2 systems. One is used for recording ect.. other for editing ect… I followed the full setup utilizing their Drive Client & it does work. However the app itself needed to be installed on a Drive on the PC’s (pretty common) & i simply move the files i need & can now record right to the NAS storage itself. However while the files are indeed going to the NAS. Its also USING up the storage of the drive on the PC’s as well… This is counter to what i need. Its no more useful then using a external HD if this is what it will do. I need this to take the files store them exclusively only on the NAS nowhere else & still be accessible from any device it attach to it
  24. As someone that's never liked the game for most of its history, I very recently decided to give it a go. I did play and mod the original version, but found it to be a really buggy experience, with it being very hit or miss on whether my mods will work or not. One positive about getting into the game this late in its life is I haven't had any notable issues with the game or installing mods, with it being more stable now than back when I tried to get into it so long ago. The biggest annoyance I have though is just how restrictive the combat system is. With you by default being limited to whatever you assign to your left and right hands, and as far as magic/shouts/etc you get just a single hotkey to use whichever ones you assign to it. I was really hoping that someone knows of a mod to improve this. I do have SkyUI installed, so I have been able to get by by just favoriting spells, weapons, whatever and then using the Q button to open a list of favorites, but I would like the ability to register more things to hotkeys. I prefer fighting with melee weapons, and would like the ability to use various spells or shouts without having to reassign anything or remove my weapons. Also on the topic of hotkeys, the keyboard I'm using (Corsair K95 I believe) has 6 macro keys along the left side of it (the buttons are G1 through G6) and I was wondering if anyone knew how I could use those keys when playing games like Skyrim. By default the game doesn't detect them when I try setting something to those keys.
  25. That's fine; everything looks good from here so far. You're on BIOS version 4604. Ryzen 5600X is recognized. All 16GB of RAM is there. It's telling you to go into BIOS by pressing F1. First-time setup.
