  2. You loose WIfi connection? If this is the case, go into settings on the access point and change channels. The IP interference you suggest doesn't make any sense
  3. This, thats why its a good idea to let them know before sending it in
  4. A nhd15 isnt gonna cool a stock 13900k. You'll have to undervolt and tweak it as these are incredibly inneficient. A u12a stands NO CHANCE. Can't even cool a 13700k let alone the furnace of a 13900k. I recommend you seriously revise the cooler. Also 100pounds for a u12? Geez overpriced much. You got ripped off. Otherwise all is fine but that cooler stands no chance.
  5. As long as your PC behaves like it should and the Malware is no longer active, I would just leave it, if you want you can also do a clean reinstall (of Windows), though you may need another computer to properly wipe the drive.
  6. Id also just get rid of the cooler as 7600 non X comes with stock cooler. If case airflow is fine then it should have no issue cooling. 50 bucks saved
  7. HI pips! New to forum! I was tinkering with the Udio ai music making AI and tried to make a music about all of us and LTT! It is incredible how this AI can generate this thing! (except the lyrics... i did that part) Linus Tech Tips song on Udio
  8. Check temps? Probably at 100c or right around it and therm throthling as most laptops cant rin this cpu at full load for shit as it runs WAY too hot. So check temps. Intel xtu will inform you a lot too. Probably gonna nees to undevolt to get somewhere near to the performance you paid for.
  9. Damn it even has a decent psu. Thats a rare thing! Means if your friend ever wanta to upgrade they dont first need to replace the psu as that thing ia good enough for a lot of gpu's
  10. Try running a few benchmarks with your GPU and comparing with other average scores for your GPU, youshould either be in and around their scores or slightly higher with the overclock, if youre lower then the overclock is causing instability and your GPU is basically downtuning to stay stable, you can lose performance with too high a memory overclock even if its entirely stable from what you can see
  11. There's property and then there's "property". Like I think I pointed out you may own a painting but do you really OWN the painting or just a license to have it? If I commission someone to draw me a character, is that character mine to do whatever I want with it? Or is the character still property of the artist? After all, the artists "support" ends when the files are send. Even if paid only for the jpg-file, shouldn't the artist also send the psd-file because the client may want to alternate the image in the future? Immaterial rights are kind of bitch when it comes to this. Also just the freedoms of everyone, imagine going to some electronics manufacturer and demanding them to release the final drawings, schematics and designs for every product they don't make/support anymore. Also just forcing people to do stuff they don't want to do, that's some real shit there, mate. Then there's the plethora of technologies involved. "Open sourcing" a game by force, especially a larger one, isn't actually as simple as just "do it", at the best just forcing the developer to open source their part will just make another MacOS "open source" game that, well parts of it are publicly open source but can you make a game from those public parts? Nope. And that would be probably what every a bit more bigger game company would actually do if they were forced to open source their games after they drop the support, rip anything with immaterial rights from the game and open source just the parts only they have made because they don't have rights to open source other companies software. Also there's a simple solution to fight this that won't require going all Ace Attorney. Don't buy SHIT. If Square Enix does shit with their games, don't buy them, not even the good ones until they have changed their company policies. That Chocobo statue remains in the store until Square Enix has actually shown they have changed, no matter how good Final Fantasy remake they did. Don't even watch the trailers or the reviews until there has been a change, the company isn't worth your time. ubishit does shit with The Crew, don't waste a second of your time with the Star Wars Outlaws, the company isn't worth it. Even if you're a game reviewer or whatelse, don't touch that shit. Actually, if you're a game reviewer and have a good foothold, especially don't touch that shit, make an actual stand and make it public that you're making a stand. Will you miss something? yeah but that's the point, you rather give up something than touch their shit. Especially for any kind of influencer, that's some really respectable thing to do and can do a lot for the cause. Like imagine if Jay wasn't such a soy boy and instead of just making 13 minute rant video, about Nvidia being bad releasing new flagship GPU among the GPU shortage, had actually put on his man pants and said "fuck it" and probably sacrificed the million views of the RTX 3090 Ti review just for that he thinks it's wrong from Nvidia to release the GPU and not focus on manufacturing affordable models. Or Linus wouldn't have accepted Facebooks money for Quest 2 review after he "took the stance" against the binding the device to the users Facebook account during WAN show. But nah, you gotta buy the newest Final Fantasy, EatAss, Ubishit, Actifucking-Buzzer game because you might miss out a great game and that would be "terrible". Just like influencer virtue signaling because that brings them views and then taking the money because that's what they actually are after. Seriously, any kind of law process or court case in this case is pretty much doomed to be waste of money because the big corporations will lobby and pay ten times the money against them and it won't even hurt them. But just not giving a shit and walking away is basicly free and pretty much only costs some inconvenience and missing out some shit and "oh boy, oh boy" if people could just do that and not be some fucking stupid sheeps, it would literally bring any corporation to their knees and they couldn't even just buy themselves out of it. But no, not buying the newest shit would require managing impulses, suffering through some inconvenience and missing out some shit. Completely unacceptable and inhumane!
  12. Thats...not a great way to do it, disable all clocking limits and enable PBO. Secondly you menitoned ASUS, get rid of armory crate. 4 sticks are okay, but run slower than 2, is XMP/EXPO/D.O.C.P enabled? If youve given priority then should be fine, will limit your M.2 drives to 2 lanes which is still plenty, are they M.2 sata or M.2 NVMe?
  13. Had tired uninstalling chrome. But the folder kept recreating it's own folder.

AMD Damage control is a complete fucking joke,…

From my experience working with AMD to solve driver crashes/Black Screens in Tekken 7 in 2017 it seemed like the team that works on drivers is too small and that the process for catching bugs and fixing them is rather chaotic. In addition to that things like new features and revamping the UI take priority over bug fixes.
  15. I'd offer $50 at most. They can take it or leave it. The market is cold as fuck for that chip so i bet you'll get it. The chip ain't worth $50, but your system running modern games when it's struggling right now is worth it. You may find the 7700k/3080 combo more than suitable for your gaming needs, in which case you're good to go for the foreseeable future. The cores on the 7700k are still faster than current gen consoles, so it's very possible. Doubling your thread count will make games that seemed unplayable smooth, while the 3080 will let you run shit on ultra that you were running on medium before. I'm not sure what the state of skylake+++++ cross-compatibility is at the moment. I remember the pencil trick from when the covfefe lake came out, but I'm not sure where it's at right now. OP, If you're comfortable with a single stroke of soldering iron, liquid metal, or a good art pencil you can run an 8700, 8700k, 9700, 9700k, 9900 or 9900k on that board as well. But the 7700 or 7700k would be a lot cheaper, and would be sufficient for modern games.
  16. https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/rcHkrv some upgrades mobo has been upgraded since the b650m pg lightning has a trash vrm, just about handles a 7950x stock but it is nowhere near the b650m hdv thatll handle one of those overclocked rams have been upgraded, after you set xmp manually set ram frequency to 6000 for 1:1 uclk with no additional tuning or stresstest required psu has been upgraded to an 850w with a 10 year warranty and no fan noise complaints ssd has been upgraded to an actual high end dram gen4 for an extra $ so you go from dramless qlc trash thats barely any faster than a gen3 whilst being priced like a high end dram gen4 to actually getting a high end dram gen4
  17. Hello all, Using an ASUS Scar 16, and realized single core seems average or as expected? But multi core is lower than what it should be - significantly so. Searching through some posts, some suggests thermal issues, and that power plans are in order, but all seems fine on that front. Any help or insight would be very much appreciated. Initially, I thought the issue was due to power limit or my undervolt, so I reverted those to default but still the similar score count kept getting reported. Not sure what else it could be... Thank you! EDIT: Power Plan states Balanced, but I've removed Armory Crate and use G-Helper, and have G-Helper set to Turbo, and modified Windows' Balanced mode for full performance, etc. But even then, maybe there's something I'm missing? After uninstalling Armory Crate, I was only left with one Power Plan state - Balanced. https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/5852906
  18. Games like warhhamer darktide, sea of thieves, starfield, no man's sky. All used to be on high and still only on high with the 10-20 fps boost. When the cpu is under load both task manager and hwinfo say its going up to the 4.55ghz?
  19. I did the testing with Asus' overclocking software, once I found stability I put it in the bios and it runs 4.55 and sometimes over under load but sits around 3 or lower when idle. I got 4 sticks of 16gb, 2 sets of this: CMK32GX4M2D3600C18 I have set in the bios to give the gpu priority in the lanes so I don't think it's being limited? I can double check though!
  20. You should be fine, as long as you're not viciously overclocking the thing Yes, you can find your sweet spot between noise and thermals
  21. I don't see an issue with this, just another incentive for buying the subscription. Not missing out on much
  22. Gpu speed is on a curve overclock with nvidias overclocking software. The memory on it is also boosted by 200mhz. I could try and find a stable higher clock myself if that would be better? But I've checked hwinfo and all the temps are staying around the 50-60 range under testing loads, rarely go above 60. I go through with ccleaner often to remove any unwanted rubbish.
  23. Moderately high=1200 rpm? You're joking, or you're sensitive to sound, right?
  24. I I've a 65" OLED Philips Ambilight TV with a sound bar since a couple years now, it's really good and at this price range
  25. Open box but never used, you run the risk of missing parts. Used carries a lot more risk so no, don't.
