  1. Past hour
  2. A bit late on this but, I have the same card, and had the same issue. While my gpu temp was way below the temp limit, the hot spot was hitting over a 100°C. So the fix was just simply repasting the card. However, if you don't want to do that you can try undervolting or reduce the power limit.
  3. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/71884379/reactjs-in-react-rooter-dom-is-usehistory-deprecated UseHistory has been deprecated https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/replacement-of-usehistory-hook-in-react/ https://reactrouter.com/en/main/hooks/use-navigate
  4. The GPU you are contemplating would use both 6+2-pin cables. But you should consider the fact that the GPU specifications recommend a 700W PSU. https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N407SWF3OC-12GD/sp#sp
  5. Byte my bits and Space Invader have some great unraid videos on these sort of things. You will definitely want all the plex metadata on your cache drive and I use ram for transcoding. The Way you do this is by changing the share permissions for the appdata. I have mine locked to only use the cache drives rather then the array.
  6. Well, that's the latest version, so I'd say it's working correctly
  7. so why did 1 tubes up (original) beat the 1 tubes down could be a combo of things: first off so i could not get the aio for tubes down at the same 100% location, i dont think that alone speak for over 1c but maybe some of it. and also the poor AIO has been tru hell with all the testing, its in need for a break
  8. Hello, I want to configure my router settings so only certain IP's have internet access. So when you connect to the IPv4 manually and get approved you have internet. Ideally only for wired connections that this applies for now. If you have advice or know exactly how to do it it would be much appreciated. I have Asus RT-AX53U router. Thanks
  9. the fix command doesn't do shit, and the router version is 6.22.3, but i have no idea which version i need, just the one that has "useHistory". I also want to just be able to install packages normally, like the react-icons, which i tried and it also didn't work before

We got new computers at work and they’re comple…

Yeah, we had perfectly serviceable computers before this with 8th gen i7s, 16GB of ram, and low end RTX quadros. We did not need an upgrade for what we do, but they went about it anyways lmao
  11. 6650XT is a decent card, but BeamNG seems to focus on nVidia - it will be a MASSIVE step up either way! Are you sure the case has generic ATX PSU/motherboard mount points? For the last 15+ years, Alienware has just been re-badged Dell and Dell are infamous for making things just that little bit different to stop people doing too much DIY :s
  12. May be using the wrong term. Z1 perhaps? It's the UnRaid option where there's 1 drive of parity with a group of different sized drives (if memory serves, the storage drives at all 4TB and the parity drive is either 6 or 8TB). Last I checked (while having these issues), the drives were reporting good, but they have also been shut down for several months. I'll check them again when I get back. @BoomerDutchThanks, I'll take a look into Jellyfin. I found another thread talking about putting the Plex database on an SSD and the media files on HDDs. Part of the reason I installed the 2TB NVMe drive was to move the lookup take there to hopefully speed up the Finder display of files, but quickly couldn't figure out how to do that. Could there be a way to shift some files to the NVME drive to speed up reads?
  13. Anything in event viewer? Might try a DDU too
  14. Have you rebooted? Did you try running the driver install as admin?
  15. if you are talking about technicality then yes but for users, same uses cases, same experiences. use flatpak and these are not really a major limitation. it all depends on what you wanna do. i personally create a /bin in my home and throw all my dev tools and softwares in there on all the linux distros i used in the past. you can simply treat steam os like a regular linux desktop but as less privileged user without root access
  16. Funny thing, my pc was ok for few months (I even borrowed a new psu but never had a chance to swap it since it was ok) and it started happening again, problem appears when I use gpu heavy tasks like upscaling videon using Topaz or playing games. Today I was upscaling a movie and watching prime and got this:
  17. Sorry for the stupid question but are 2 of these cables shown in the image below enough for the 4070 super? I'm most likeley gonna buy this model of the 4070 super https://pcpartpicker.com/product/HCkH99/gigabyte-windforce-oc-geforce-rtx-4070-super-12-gb-video-card-gv-n407swf3oc-12gd
  18. I'm assuming they don't make open-backed wireless headphones because there are too many electronics that prevent the open-backed design. You don't necessarily need open-backed headphones for gaming though... pro gamers wear earbuds under over-ear headphones during tournaments, so a wide soundstage is a pretty marginal benefit. I really like the wide soundstage of Beyerdynamic's DT 770 Pro, and it looks like their MMX 200 headset is similar. I have a mega huge head and big ears, and the DT770 is very comfortable for me. I personally wear IEMs for gaming (7Hz Timeless).
  19. okay, then step 1: Install: HWInfo64, Cinebench R24 Launch HWInfo64 and find the CPU Temps Then run Cinebench for 10-30 minutes, and see if your cinebench scores line up with other 14900k's And see what yuor CPU Temps are like while running cinebench

We got new computers at work and they’re comple…

My dad's work was given new office computers last year. They had 8GB RAM...single channel... Microsoft OUTLOOK brings them to their knees...

  22. 3/4 ton should do it as long as all the mechanicals are in good shape. An automatic trans is more convenient to use but a manual works too if it's setup right related to it's gearing. If going for an automatic truck, if it has a trans cooler that would be of benefit to the trans and let it operate cooler, which helps the life of one. Either a big V6/inline 6 or a V8 should get it done - Don't ignore a 6 cylinder because they do have good low end/low RPM torque overall but most likely any 3/4 ton you'll find will have a V8 in it anyway. I'm assuming this isn't a one-time "Thing" since you did seem to indicate purchasing one here.
  23. That's just plain not true. SteamOS is Arch based but it is not Arch. Game Mode is not just Big Picture, it replaces the desktop environment completely and has no window management. And you always boot here, logging into Steam, before being able to switch to Desktop. Pacman is disabled by default and the filesystem outside of /home is read-only. Updates are pushed as system images and overwrite any changes you make outside of /home. So if you have to replace the operating system and add all of the peripherals yourself, why choose it in the first place? It's just not a development machine. Remember we are talking about a NON-gamer...
