  2. I only upgraded from TL-C12C-S to a mix of TL-B12, TL-C12-Pro, and TL-K12 . from 3 fans to 5 fans in total. So we are likely looking at the same tyoe of performance. Ecxept mine is better Edit: Those fans I had from a bunch of their heatsinks lol..
  3. @Idkwhattodowithmylife Not good. Do you want to troubleshoot this? If so I could walk you through.
  4. that's a lot of money for someone else's e-waste.
  5. Is The Ugreen 2.1 HDMI Luxury Zinc Alloy Model one of the Superior 2.1 HDMI Cables on the market it seems like that to me. Here is a link to a Norwegian Webstore that has The B version of 2.1 HDMI making 10K/120Hz (FPS) the future... https://www.lydglede.no/hdmi-kabel/808-hdmi-kabel-premium-hdmi-21b-10k120hz-48gbps-inakustik.html
  6. What is the Problem?: My 3090 does not light up anymore when I start my PC and my Mainboard (X570-a pro) ist stuck at the VGA debug light. What was the lead up and moment of failure?: I was gaming 'Ready or not' at high settings, and after a while the Power shut off. Afterwards I tried to start my PC again, but the Mainboard EZ debug got stuck on VGA (NOTE: The first two times I tried to start my PC the GPU was at least lit up, after that it no longer lights up) What do I suspect is the cause?: I think that my PSU had just given in to the demanding Current (I had a 700 Watt PSU, so pretty much underspeced, yes, my fault). However after changing it out for a 1000W PSU, the problem persists. However: I also noticed that the power connector of the GPU is a little loose, but not loose enough for me to believe that that is the sole cause. What did I try to resolve it?: As I mentioned I tried changing out the PSU, I tried reseating the GPU, Resetting the Bios by removing the CMOS battery (although I dont know how long it still has residual charge, so that might not have really happened), I borrowed the GPU of someone else (which worked, so that would further validate that the GPU is faulty). Next up is contacting the original owner, but my hopes are not high that there is warranty What is my question?: Could an insufficient Power supply really kill a GPU? How does under charging even result in a dead gpu? Temps were all nominal (below 80°C) when I stress tested (I only ever stressed the GPU or CPU in isolation, never both at the same time). In case I have no warranty (it was bought second hand and it has been some weeks), is there a realistic way to repair it? Please note: I am not a beginner and I have checked most of the obvious things to check. Though this doesn't mean I dont appreciate the help. Specs: Ryzen 9 5900x RTX 3090 700W BeQuiet PSU (at the time the problem occured) X570-A pro Thanks for any help or condolences
  7. As I stated earlier in my first post, I'm more looking the pros and cons of the 7800X3D vs 14700k in my case.
  8. Kudos for citing from Chernobyl. A revealing show about government controlling information. The phone was used for malice. Political phone calls and I can use it to plan a murder. Hitler was the first politician using the airplane and radio to campaign. I'm sure the printed book also was used for something bad. So we should put all communication and transportation under government control? Sunlight is the best disinfectant. The truth has a better chance in a totally free World. Any government control will lead to less truth. Don't think for a second that our politicians want to protect us. They just want us to use media they can control. Tik Tok is just a competing brainwashing system. If the very same tiK Tok was under US control and they could enforce their will like they can on Facebook, they would not complain about tiK Tok. I use Facebook and my feed only shows me 35 people I actually know personally and hobby groups I joined (like local Mountainbike groups). The annoying unsolicited posts I see all are related to my hobbies (other bicycle groups or archeology etc). I assume the algorithm is smart enough to show me what I like. If someone sees a lot of political or perverted stuff... that probably is based on their interest. Same for YT, most suggested videos are based on my history. Nothing interesting or informative or useful fits in a 1 minute vertical video. But this is no reason to outlaw tiK Tok. We are not outlawing all the equally useless gossip magazines etc
  9. No matter what you say, taking away platforms where people can express ideas is a form of censorship. Just because it isn't an absolute silencing of people doesn't make it any less censorship. My argument was simply that the whole "it isn't censorship because you still have some options left" is simply false. The same logic taken to the extreme would mean that nothing in China is censored. The definition that "censorship is the complete and utter removal of any possibility to express a certain idea" renders the word useless. Luckily for us, the word "censorship" has a fairly good definition and banning TikTok would absolutely be a form of censorship. Whether or not you agree with that censorship is a different discussion though. I like your "this time it is different, and if someone said the same thing back then then they were wrong but I am totally right this time". I won't pretend like TikTok is all good. I am sure there are legitimate concerns and issues with it. But whether or not those issues are big enough to warrant removing the platform is less clear cut than I think some people believe. I feel like it has become cool to hate on the platform, and people generally are okay with censorship if they dislike the thing being censored. I feel like that is what's happening here. Also, since site like YouTube also pushes the same content, maybe we need to consider if a ban on YouTube is a necessary step to deal with the negative aspects of social media. I mean, if we agree that TikTok contributes to mental health issues to such a degree that the government needs to ban it, what's to say the same shouldn't be done to YouTube?
  10. I wouldn't. Ive had it install stuff on other drives even though I didnt give it permission to do so. I always disconnect other drives before doing an install.
  11. Found the following cards on FB market place and was wondering if any of em are worth it for their rarity/status/etc.
  12. I'm interested to see some example devices and dates that don't support AV1. I would assume it's been standard on all new chipsets for one or two years, which would leave a vast majority unsupported?
  13. ok, there's 3060 with 8GB (to avoid) and 12GB But the 7700XT is 60% faster, so sure it's more expensive

  15. Summary With increased >FHD content becoming more common, YouTube will be shifting to the AV1 codec and away from H264. This could be a problem for viewers with older devices that don't have baked in hardware acceleration for AV1, leading to an increase in processing power required for viewing and increased battery drain. Quotes My thoughts This could be a major issue for folks with older devices and may become a benchmark variable to watch for in phone reviews that include battery life tests. On the other hand, this is nothing new. YouTube hasn't been kind on older devices in the past, which is unsurprising given the demands video streaming puts on a device. Consumers should consider their streaming habits when buying especially dated used phones, tablets, streaming boxes and smart TVs. 16. Just realised that with EDO DIMM, I could in theory also pair them with EDO SIMM on my AT Jetway board:

  17. Then they should keep it up indefinitely so they aren't forced to. Read my point, "any 'property' bought in the game" is destroyed if the game is shut down, and what do we do when companies destroy customer property? We take them to court for damages. Look at damn near every recall when batteries and power supplies are recalled. Everyone gets the item exchanged, or are given money if they sign on to the class action lawsuit. That is what should happen, automatically, any time a MMO is shut down. Refund every single cash purchase. If and when, and there will be a when, Epic deems Fortnite too expensive, they better either have "refund every vbuck purchance since inception" or "make everything free and open source the server code" to let someone else operate it. It is utter BS, that a game "requires" microtransactions to survive. P2P, and LAN based multiplayer long predates garbage games-as-a-service pump-and-dumps. More to the point, I will double down on this point. Any game that has mandatory "online" microtransactions to an otherwise single player game should end service by patching out the microtransactions and retain the ability to purchase/download. Not destroying the game. It still annoys me that how Crunchyroll ended MagiReco English by patching out all the Live2D content, resulting in there being nothing to play. All you can do is look at the progress you made when it was live. Peer-to-Peer is always an option. But the point is, companies should not be permitted to "Destroy" the players property that they paid for. That includes banning/deleting a player because of terms of service violations. If they do not want the player back and are not going to back down, then refund the player and delete their account.
  18. You definitely do not need an aio. The 7600 will do perfectly fine even with the stock cooler in most games, and the power supply is a bit overkill for a build like this. Here is the improved part list. https://fi.pcpartpicker.com/list/cKHrQP
  19. the 3060 is also 12gb vram and still cheaper than a 7700xt(again from where i'm buying at)
  20. I am running 2 sticks, 32gb each. The previous iteration of the build was 32gb, 16gb each stick. Same issue happened. I've not tried memtest86, I will try this. All drivers, except for BIOS, are up to date. I'm going to update both BIOS and chipset tonight.
  21. Where I am, 7700XT new is >30% more expensive than a store offered used 3070 with warranty. Ebay is cheaper and private sales go even lower. IMO 3070 would still be sufficient for a great experience up to 1440p for foreseeable future. Just don't expect the highest settings in newer more demanding games.
  22. I have been enjoying 3D movies on my Optoma EH-501 DLP projector, but the process of converting video files from 2D to 3D is slow. Since all this process entails is halving the framerate and placing two images beside one another, it seems like something a modern graphics card would be more than capable of doing on-the-fly, in realtime. But how do I actually go about setting this up? In the Nvidia Control Panel, I've tried setting Stereo to DLP-Link mode (and of course turning it on) but that does not convert the output image to side-by-side, and it doesn't seem to be doing frame sequential 3D either because I can't see any 3D effect. I am using DVI dual link to connect to the projector on my Quadro FX4800, should I swap to DisplayPort or a newer card with HDMI? Or is there a very obvious setting that I'm missing, or perhaps these graphics drivers can't do what I want and I need third-party software, a Windows setting, or god forbid an AMD card? Or, does any 3D on an Nvidia card rely on the Stereo connector on the back of the card? Any advice would be appreciated, I'm a little lost. Specs: Optoma EH501 DLP projector Quadro FX 4800 (DVI/DP) Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Quadro driver version 340 I also have a Radeon Pro Duo and GTX 950 if that would change the outcome.
  23. This written review is in complement to my video review on the product: While steep, I decided to buy the LTT MCM home bundle in order to better managed failed competitor products that I used to secure the cable mess beneath my desk: The product ships in discrete, unmarked packaging: It is a little overwhelming with how much stuff is included with it. To the point that I would prefer to have at the very least a quick-start guide or QR code to scan for a simplistic walkthrough or some fundamentals to help prime those that don't watch the WAN Show to better understand how to make the most use of the product. The magnets are really strong. Deceptive given their small stature. I found the 3M VHB plates were sticky enough to not warrant screws for my purposes... but time will tell how they hold up. The magnets are surprisingly convenient... allowing you to detach and reattach as necessary, allowing for you to un-contort yourself when installing for better posture, reducing strain, cramps, etc. Something I hadn't even considered or realized before going through this experience first-hand. I love the amount of subtly when it comes to their logo positioning on the product. I only managed to address the biggest pain points in my cable mess so far, using a mere 2 cable tie holders, 2 small arches, and a handful of LTT cable ties. But it is enough to bring me peace for the time being. Will be looking to revamp everything once I get a little more time. Here is what my desk mess looked like after using 2 cable tie holders, 2 small arches, and a handful of LTT cable ties (so imagine how much better it would look if I used even half of what all I received!): I'm a fan, and if you can justify the cost of the product, I recommend it so far. I have yet to fully vet the product and intend on writing a follow-up after some time with the product to see how it copes against the test of time.
  24. YW! Well, remember that what a phone records isn't the same as what you'll hear. I would've used my microphone and PC cam but I was running AIO tests at the time. If you're sensitive, you'll have to wait until you have one in your hands, or wait until you can find enough reviews (or wait for mine once I have time). Literally, you'll have no need of putting stronger fans on the Notte or Magic - it won't be worth the cost for the extra 1-2 degrees you'll get. Still, you might want to anyways if the noise irritates you, but that will depend a great deal on your PC setup.
  25. the only issue is that it costs more for where i'm at
