  2. The EK Fluid Gaming site has the Al T-splitters but I couldn't see any ball valves.
  3. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/H110M-PRO-VD.html since this BIOS version supports the kaby lake.
  4. Indeed, even NFS to NFS I find IO is dramatically bad going SSD to SSD even compared to SSD to HDD on the same PC. I'd love to improve it but not found anything.
  5. Not sure what kind of answer you're expecting from me then. You have the frame of reference, you know your financials, you know what you would be happier with.
  6. It also depends where you are as well if you are some that got hot summers then you will need a better cooler.

  8. Are the fans plugged in to the right place. I did this and took a while to realise.
  9. Ooh, that Straight Power. I'd personally lean that way.
  10. Everything looks ok for the most part if you're going with Intel. Its perfectly fine for gaming. If we're talking future proofing though, at the moment I would go with AMD only for their recently released motherboards and CPU's. And like gloop said, the CPU cooler is unnecessary. 11. So for an update. I talked to Intel tech support. They basically said as long as it boosts beyond 3.6ghz it is working as intended and whether it boosts to 5ghz depends on the "silicon lottery". He did say it could also depend on the OS and other software and/or bios factors. That just sounds amazing to me. Intel just admitted that whether your CPU reaches their advertised clock speeds at stock settings depends on winning the silicon lottery. Not overclocking mind you, but simply stock speeds. They did suggest contacting ASUS and seeing if their motherboard or some driver issues are to blame, but ASUS tech support is virtually worthless at anything that isnt obvious. I did give it a quick try but lost patience after 20 plus minutes of getting nowhere with an employee that sounded like it was their first day on the job and who knew less about the motherboard than I did. So basically, if anyone is considering a 9900k, buyer beware. Its been suggested all the good performing 9900k's were used for the 9900KS, so you are not only likely to get one that is not only a poor overclocker, but wont even perform to advertised stock speeds.
  12. I have some G.Skill Trident Z RGB memory (2 x 8, 3600 speed), and I might be getting more sometime down the line. Do I have to match the timing speeds on the new kit to the one I have already, or is speed / model the most important factor?
  13. My current monitor is an IPS panel, so I'm somewhat used to that level of quality, but my laptop is a TN panel so I have a pretty good frame of reference. My question was mostly pertaining to whether or not it's worth $125 extra for the improved panel.
  14. A Canadian Tire in Canada was caught selling cheap masks but claiming they were NIOSH certified N95, 10 masks for $19.99. The masks they were selling sell for $21 per 1,000, or $6.30 per 1,000 in bulk. https://www.freshdaily.ca/news/2020/01/canadian-tire-n95-masks-coronavirus/
  15. There are other places to purchase Windows keys but I recommend buying from a proper site or re-seller. Depending on if your going to be overclocking I would say save some money on a motherboard and purchase one that has the ports you require and the features you are going to use. Motherboards made by reputable brands will all be able to run the parts the life of the computer more expensive will usually have better reviews as they have many more features but not everyone will use them. Hope you get some good deals and get a nice computer that will stay for a long time.
  16. Thanks for recommending our stand! For one without an arm, MOUNT-CUB2D might work for your desk setup. Although it's designed to be a clamp mount, there is a slot in the main support where you could insert a couple screws down into the desktop. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JN72HJR Or for another option, if a stand with a flat base will work for you, STAND-V100W will support your monitor, and the flat base can be used as additional space. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075QKCLWB
  17. I've been into tech stuff and have been cleaning out my pc, and my friends' PCs for the last 10 years, I've never encountered something like this X_X.
  18. Can we get something like the Mac vs Windows role reversal competition Linus did with iJustine but with Linus performing Server Admin tasks on a Linux Sever and Anthony on a Windows server?
  19. I agree with the remarks above. What resolution and refresh rate are you gaming at? A 9900K with an 2060 Super is not exactly a perfectly balanced build. If you don't need more GPU power than a 2060S, chances are you don't need a 9900K. There's no need for 32GB ram if you are just gaming. 750W is not too overkill, but it's still a lot for that build. Windows can be had for €10-15 elsewhere. I would probably recommend an AMD build, pair that with a beefier GPU, skip the CPU cooler and use the stock cooler, 16GB ram are plenty and maybe consider a different case with a better front intake (Meshify C, Corsair 275R Carbide). That'll probably save you 300-400€ even if you go with a 2080 Super (!).
  20. Ok i booted through my Windows Installer USB to scan through that, it still didn't find anything wrong on drives @AngryBeaver
  21. Hello. I'm looking to upgrade from a Asus Essence STX to the Schiit stack. But one of my friends are saying that i should get the Universal Audio Arrow, or the Native instruments Komplete audio 6 instead. Do anyone know if there is any difference between The schiits or the two interfaces? Cheers!
  22. The 1ms response time is really great for games, but if your viewing angle isn't good then any benefit is null. Make sure your setup allows you to move things around, that way you can find a solid angle to use.
  23. May be this? https://www8.hp.com/h20195/V2/GetPDF.aspx/c06043924 https://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-1441868098-hd-ssd-sk-hynix-256gb-bc501-pcie-30-x4-nvme-m2-_JM?quantity=1&variation=50951215968 Operating Temperature 0° to 70°C (32° to 158°F) [ambient temp]
  24. It seemed odd that it has an Approved list and Blocked list. All of my previous modems only had an "Approved" list and If it wasn't in that list it wasn't allowed. First thing I tried was to change the Password before I did anything but it wouldn't allow me. I figured I must have to log everything off to change the password. After I reset I tried changing the password, hit save and it wouldn't accept the change. It kept going back to default without any error codes but it did allow me to change the name of the Gateway. I figured I would gain some time by changing the Name by forcing them to re-enter the default password. That allowing me to turn on MAC filtering and typing in the small list of MAC addresses into the "blocked" section. ( I caught a couple of phones logging on when I was rebooting their wifi extender. I can only imagine what the Google Home was doing every time it lost and reconnected.) One more thing I did was disable 2.5ghz as the only two Items I wanted to use is running 5ghz. Needless to say, I am interested in learning more about networks as well as upgrading my home security system and maybe even a CCTV system. I stayed up last night studying monochrome surveillance cameras. Surprisingly not many B&W cameras on the market or they keep them hid from the general public. You want B&W because you can get a much sharper image with the same amount of Lux available. (Better in low light)
  25. These sorts of trijets are the last in production. Got to see one land today:

  26. Thx buddy. I’m going for the cheapest model on each. I’m going for only a storage upgrade. My budget is less then $500
