Reminds me of the days when I was running an old athlon 64 x2 4200+ :P (which was up until last christmas!) Those things ran hot - I had the side panel off in the summer and a desk fan blowing into it! It only gets up in the mid 20s (celsius) over here. Did 6 years of service though, in some small m-atx case with no case fans and only the stock heatsink.

yeah on that picture i was only running a 3500+, ive got a fx-55 now with a xigmatek thors hammer with an aerocool shark 96cfm fan on it :P. i was ocing it the other day to get it to 3ghz. i was going up to 1.85v so i had to put my delta fan on the heatsink. it just about managed to keep it under 70c at 5160rpm!

My stepdad's Compaq has a Sempron 3000+ right now (hot AF), and his HP has some kind of Athlon 64 x2. Before cleaning it would rev up the fan doing almost nothing. I ran Prime95 on it for over a week and it hadn't really come out of idle.
