The shroud was just some clear plastic packaging that I wrapped in vinyl, if you want to make a PSU shroud for a basement you can get acrylic and cut it to size or make a bend to wrap down like in the H440.

Should it be fairly easy to do the acrylic type? Eg shaping it and fitting it?

Here check out the portion under PSU Shroud it should give you some ideas, if you want to use acrylic it would be very similar to bending hardline tubing with a heat gun.
