Yesterday, I was glad to find that the Arma 3 Takistan Life server was back online. If you didn't know, last time I played on this server was July 2014, so I was quite overjoyed at this.

Suddenly, a hacker (read: script kiddie) joins the server promising that he will give out free money to all civilians. I had to question my own morality at that point, but I ended up asking for an absurd amount of money somewhat sarcastically. To my surprise, there was 999 billion dollars in my bank.

WHAT. THE. FUCK.

I immediately started recording. Side chat went absolutely crazy. Everyone was yelling "ALLAHU AKBAR" (the mod is based in a fictional middle eastern country, makes sense really). People were stockpiling cars as if money wasn't an object, fearing that if admins came online the money would be reset. This was starting to turn into, with a lack of better words, a clusterfuck.

Then everyone started respawning at an airport - the easiest way to get to rebel base (it's called "Terrorist Hideout" on taki life lol). Helicopters started flooding into the base, like flies to a piece of shit. Rebel base in Takistan is quite different to Altis Life - you can buy tanks and attack helicopters, obviously everyone wanted their slice of the cake.

There was a select few that didn't want this to happen. Three tanks blockaded the base not wanting anyone to come in, fearing the server could turn into a shithole within a few minutes. A total of 5 helicopters were shot down trying to come into terrorist hideout. I was in a not-very-well-armoured Littlebird, so I decidedly kept my distance. Soon enough, the blockade allowed a few people to come in to get assault rifles and light vehicles - they weren't letting anyone purchase a tank no matter what. They are basically invincible.

Soon enough, the server was brought to it's knees...as well as my PC. I was getting 5 FPS and wasn't really wanting to have the console experience in Arma 3. *shudders*
