I am a very firm believer in the Quickdraw perk. I believe that I can say, without a doubt, that it's my favorite perk in the game.
I like to play anti-meta outside the competitive playlist. For the purpose of this post, that means running an auto rifle. One that isn't Suros Regime. It means running an auto rifle with low recoil direction and stability stats. It means running a Halfdan-D in the Crucible.
What does running a Halfdan-D in the Crucibl
This is one I often see and often question about what's really going on: the idea that Task Manager is halfway broken and what it reports is inaccurate and shouldn't be trusted. Instead, trust some other program! The reason why this assertion puzzles me is that it's a system tool that Microsoft readily makes available. I'm pretty certain as well that companies, especially major hardware manufacturers, makes sure that Task Manager in Windows reports at least something resembling what they're desi
At this point, you already know my stance on the Epic Games Store. It's not worth repeating but to sum it up, it's a very bare-laden store that utilizes a questionable-at-best tactic in order to catch up quickly to Valve's Steam, the current market leader.
Whilst I've not been a fan of AAA releases going Epic Exclusive, I've usually left an exception for most indies, provided some conditions are met.
Take Ooblets, the latest indie title headed by 2 partners to be going
Since I seem to talk about assertions that people seem to throw around left and right, I thought I'd start (yet) another blog series, Discussing Myths, where I take an assertion and explain why it's a myth. Or at the very least, spreading more light on it so people know what's going on beyond the surface.
So for an introduction post, I figure a shotgun approach to various assertions with shorter responses are in order. If you have more you want me to look at, feel free to drop a repl
This is just a fun thing of 10 programming languages ranked. Random, and you might not even know them.
10 - Python - Good for beginners, has tons of use, BUT: Slowest language, worst syntax, has less uses than it claims
9 - C - Much better than python except not beginner friendly and is slowly being killed out by C++
8 - C++ - Speaking of which this is just a more complex C, but nicer in my opinion
7 - F# - FUCK R is what F# stands for. F# is great for data science. Fuck R.
6 - D -

Creating the package just requires code that does SOMETHING. Here I will just use a sim
I've been stewing on this for a while (and I kind of didn't want to stomp on @Arika S's) but I figured... why not go for it? So here's the AMA if you want to ask me a question, any question! Yes you can ask anything and I will answer. But just so you're aware of the "rules" about this:
The answer that I give may not be the answer you want.
Until it gets added to this post, I'll accept the question. But once the question is added to this post, I will ignore future repeats of that que
So guys here I will run through the number generator and post you here with a tag, please be aware that you have 72 hours to DM me to redeem your steam key.
Once again you have 72 hours, if you do not want a key please let me know in the comments then I can re-roll your number.
I'm not sure how @Den-Fi is doing his giveaway, hopefully he can let
Well guys here, we are, the end of the week but we didn't hit our goal of getting 10th, but we will get there, just keep folding.
First place - The crown once again rests on the head of The King, very much as expected. @Den-Fi you are a god walking amongst us, you sailed right through the event without a care in the world. We all Raise a glass to you and your Crunching prowess.
Second place - We have @miker07 talking the second step on the podium, well done to you man, o
Well guys, it looks like production is soaring high! That is a good thing!
In first, once again as wholly expected by this point we have the king, @Den-Fi with 47.1 million points, He looks to have hit his stride and is quite comfortable, but with @miker07 only 3m points behind, holding second with 44.1 million points, is he too comfortable. @leadeater continues to hold onto them Tesla cards showing 33.2 million points leading him to holding on the third position, Not far behind that
Well, it is day four, we are now over half way through the week. Oh, how times flies when your having fun Stressing over spreadsheets and time-zones.
So over the last 24 hours or so We have seen some movement in the bard, so why not let us go take a look!
In first, as expected, we have the king! @Den-Fi is holding onto poll position, ready to defend his crown, with 38.7 million points, @miker07 seems to be faltering, with the gap widening as he only has 35.8 million! @le
Well guys, yet another super super late blog... Most of you already know I fell asleep at my PC last night.
All of our participants are seeing themselves in the trenches, stalemated with one another, unable to pass through no mans land in order to break the deadlock.
In first place we have the king @Den-Fi with 30.7m points, @miker07 isnt too far behind the mark there with 28.2m points, if only he could fine a little more power he may even be able to knock the king from t
Well guys its been an exciting 24 hours!
The king @Den-Fi continues to hold onto first with 22.7m points, But we have a challenger, @miker07 who is holding onto 2nd with 20.7m has surpassed the king in production, but can he maintain this to take the crown? @leadeater is the last in the top 3 with 12.6 million, with such a huge opening in front of him he must be questioning himself, wondering if there is any way he can progress further. In 4th we have @Gorgon with 12.2m points
In the beginning, there was nothing but machine, man, and ranks!
This is just a PSA for the new guys here, the folding team is a small close knit community, so here's a few things I'd like you all to keep in mind. It doesn't hurt to say thank you, if someone has genuinely helped you out don't forget to drop a reaction on their posts, help others where ever you can and finally we are a team first and always.
It has been some time since I has to write a daily report, so b
Here we are again, another folding event another blog written by yours truly! Lets hope we can hit our goal of hitting 10th before the week is out!
First off, thank you to everyone who has signed up and is folding hard, remember we are folding as a team first, and for personal glory second, be kind, be friendly and please, let thy GPUs scream for mercy!
We have 30 participants signed up for this mini folding event, From the legendary @Den-Fi, it is
The title might be a little strange to anyone who's remotely familiar with performance bottlenecks. But rather than try to explain things on a higher level, where all of the CPU and GPU usage comparisons are done, this explains on a lower level. That is, not only the what is going on, but why it happens.
How Do Performance Bottlenecks work?
To understand how performance bottlenecks, particularly for games, it's important to understand the general flow of games from a programming standp
I think it's time that I did my second blog entry ...

@Ryujin2003 @8uhbbhu8 @Mira Yurizaki I hope you guys get to enjoy the last part - there's a twist at the end (although bittersweet)...
Hello there! Thank you for coming to read this blog post. I understand that you were interested in seeing what the situation is. But, before you commit to this, I must warn you. What you are about to read is quite lengthy, and will be
There was one bit I should add from this last blog:
Once you've gathered up the data, how do you use it? The biggest trouble with PerfMon in the way it gathers GPU data is, while it can do per-process data gathering, it doesn't actually capture the process you're interested in unless it's already running. While that's fine and all for observing it without logging, creating a Data Collector Set that captures the process is impossible. PerfMon uses Process IDs, or PIDs, and the game's PID wi
A bonus update to the Software Enigma Machine I did way back when. This time, I went back and refactored some code because I felt it needed it.
What is the Enigma Machine?
Why did I choose to implement the Enigma machine?

Many of you will have seen the new treatment trialled for porphyria - a condition which is a result of a large buildup of porphyrins. Heam is a protein that is a constituent of haemoglobin, a notable component of our red blood cells that utilises an iron ion to carry oxygen. Heam is composed of an iron ion and porphyrin components. In the porphyria there is an imbalance of the porphyrin constituents due to a mutation in the enzymes converting the various porphyrins to needed types. What we get i
