Hi!
I'm in the video industry and I'm planning to build my own pc! Right now I have an old iMac with 4gb of ram and an i5 processor so I just need a bit more power.
I have a 1500$ budget for the computer (not including the monitors).
What do you recommend me?

Welcome to my first blog guys :)
If you've viewed my profile already, you may have seen that I'm a college student majoring for video game design. But that also doesn't come with any obstacles that aren't easy to overcome. I need to be able to get the things needed to get my associates degree with a budget of ~$5,700.
When I was thinking about "what tools do I really need to make this time swift and easy and that they'll last for a very long time?" When I was looking around on Amazon, I knew
Im about to replace my old system what I currently have has rocked and still seems to do the job

Linus should build an enthusiast grade PC. One with two Radeon r9 295x2 in crossfire and 2 gtx titan's in SLI. I would like to know if it is possible. I know Linus showed crossfire and SLI in the same PC before but with the highest rated performance products. Perhaps with the fun money budget when it comes around. I would like to see this PC build guide and am interested in see the finished product in action. If at all possible, hopefully Linus can get around to do it.
It may come as a shock to some that just over 15 years ago CPUs only had a single core, and running 2 threads on one core simultaneously was just an infant of an idea. Nowadays dual-core chips are practically ubiquitous as the minimum across the civilized world. Even so, to this day most consumer software runs using a single thread and only the oldest of instruction sets for a target platform. There are reasons for this, such as making software which can be sold to the most people with a reliabl

The next computer I was going to build was an AMD 760K Richland Quad-Cord processor. I've changed my mine and am going to pick up a Intel i5. Still looking into it more but so far the seems to be my best choice. You may be asking yourself why the change? The answer is kind of stupid to be honest. I just want to try Intel for a change. I've seen many AMD builds from my friends and other people, and I hear great things from both. Switching it up just makes sense.
Ubisoft just got me again!
I installed Win8.1 recently and because of that FC4 kinda uninstalled itself but not really.
Since Uplay is the worst piece of software i've ever used in my life, i tried to relocate the FC4 folder because FC4 showed up as uninstalled.
I could indeed find the files for the game but Uplay was just like "NOPE LOL, REDOWNLOAD THAT SHIZZLE!"
There i sat, redownloading 32gb of FarCry and seeing my free HDD space going from 110gb to 80gb (which essentially means i had 2x
This is where i share my thoughts about video games, food, life, and politics. not really politics, that's confusing. I rather look at ecchi anime than watch Hannity.
so this will be the first entry in to build blog of terror, step one beat head against desk, Step two calm down and scream at computer!
i have been steadily building this desktop over the last few months and have had nothing but a major pain in my ass the whole time from dead boards and video cards, to case's that at present pose a danger to my 800 dollar set up, as well as causing me a headache. i would also like to mention im running a mild over clock at 3762 MHz
D.I.Y PC case from newegg
Some people like to build Budget PC's and some people like building High End PC's. I wonder sometimes why do people by Budget PC's when they can there are multiple times in a year that you can grab computer parts for cheap (Black Friday, anyone?), but the January and February clearance time is a great one so there's no excuse for the cost. For those people buying High End PC's there's no excuse for buying overkill hardware(5 Video Cards) lol. What is your Thoughts on this subject?

THE NOOB!
Finally building my first PC after a years of using already build desktops. Excited!! Can't wait for all my parts to be ordered. I know I will probably mess a couple things up, but that's just part of learning. My case has already been shipped here and I'm thinking of painting it a nice flat white color. I like white for basically everything and I believe it will stand out when I move into my dorm this year. The computer won't be the best out there, but for gaming and modding, it sh
